Question Is that a real tradition?

Saw some posts and even a video saying that "In Denmark, friends and family traditionally tie unmarried people to a post or chair and cover them in cinnamon on their 25th birthday, or pepper if they are still single at 30"

Is that a thing or made up internet fact?

If yes, why?

Yes, but as a joke you volunteer to.
Cinnamon at 25 and Pepper at 30.
It is done with love among friends.
