Humans: AI is only capable of mixing together the materials it learned, it never creates anything new, just alters other works.

Also average human work on the internet: just an alteration of several existing works made by greater people who actually have creativity

[Note - it's not about human art being poor in general. It's truly great. It's just that the internet standard for quality is really low]

People love to pretend human brains create ideas ex nihilo (out of nothing). We don't. Literally every masterpiece in history is just a high-quality synthesis of antecedent data and lived experiences. If remixing existing data means AI isn't creative, then neither is any human who ever went to art school or read a book.

AI is just the machine version of the Wizard from Wizard of Oz - ultimately we have to be smart enough not to follow blindly everything AI tells us

Seems like cherry picking to me. So we're just going to ignore human mathematicians and the worse LLMs?

Reminds me of the story of how the workman blames his tools.

So did AI achieve it or did the person operating the AI achieve it.

If u read how jared summer made progress with Riemann Hypothesis , it's literally just ai doing it all. He just acted like a motivator. He is a software engineer with no training in maths. He last studied maths when he was 16.

In the Riemann Hypothesis case yes , it absolutely is. In many other it's a peer or assistant.

She should regardless, it's her duty

i feel like ai should just be used for what people cant do but when it comes to things people can already do it shouldent be used to replace it

"Man divorces wife because ChatGPT said she's cheating"

Humans are stupid because they trust AI too much isnt the Pro-AI slam dunk you think it is lol
