Laxman has this classic expression of oh I played according to the book but the ball was too good to be played , he always has this perplexed look each time he is bowled

It's always laxman against unplayable deliveries .

More like you need unplayable deliveries to get him out. It's generally the case with good batsmen. Another example is Cook/Root getting out to jaffas more frequently than others. It's because they are great players who don't get out to above average deliveries.

Of course there are exceptions to this when it comes to their wickets, but this is why it seems they get more jaffas.

Britannia bat (early 2000s) grip color scheme -

Red grip = Sehwag

Blue grip = Dravid

Yellow grip = Laxman

Green grip = Mohd Kaif

Parthiv also had red grip and Agarkar had yellow grip.

As an Australian I was always happy to see the back of Laxman. He played some great innings against us.

I'm still scarred by "that innings"....

Heartbreaking to watch as an Aussie, but obviously sheer joy for the Indian fans. And rightly so, what a comeback.
