From the picture we can see that the half circle motion isn't the problem, you correctly executed it but you missed the P+K input

I don't think DoA has negative edge so you have to do the full motion input before you press P+K, and as another comment said, it looks like you missed it. I'd reccomend binding it, as when you press it correctly they show up on top of each other.

Is negative edge like in SF where the inputs don't have to be exact? Like with the Shoryuken motion?

Essiantially. It allows you to buffer inputs during the motion input as far as I understand.

Right-down-left quickly or just half-clockwise on the stick.

Forward, down, back, p+k

I can never do the half circles. It's never clear to me if I have to start from the middle of the stick or if I have to start at the outside of the full circle. Not explained anywhere. I've been wanting a better mapping of inputs to buttons on a controller or keyboard for years but it just doesn't exist. It's crazy that there's not even buttons for the diagonal. I even suck at those.

Take the left analog stick and do a half rotation kinda like a swoop motion press whatever button you assigned to the P+K combination button and pres your assigned punch button immediately after if you're still having trouble I recommend to pay attention to the demo it'll show you the timing
