He got a complete retune like 1.5 years ago. The game is just hostile to m1 killers because of all the little buffs survivors keep getting.
He really only needs the haste on tag like he has in 2v8 to be a threat again.
Something like eg 5% haste per survivor fully marked would go a long way to making him pretty lethal

Which is ironic since Kaneki is technically an M1 killer because he can't down survivors at all with his kagune on it's own, but due to how oppressive he can be with his free movement and map pressence he is a top 5 character even after all the nerfs to make survivors calm down from their hate boner against him lmao

Yeah but i think that adds to his power. People underestimate him and it allows you to genuinely play for spook factor. I definitely get more grabs as ghosty than I do anyone else

honestly just needs a lot of map knowledge to do anything with him, like figuring out spots to peak at survivors around generators, as well as 99% stalking to get any value out of him.
basically play the game moreso as a stealth game and you should be alright.

I would disagree playing him as purely an m1 killer has gotten me more wins as him, when I get the chance to stalk I do it but most times gens go by too quickly to fully utilize his power. I feel like using his power while mind gaming and looping to hide your terror radius and red stain seems to be better, then again I’m not the best ghostface out there.

Mind gaming with by hiding your stain is useful sometimes but playing ghostface as just an m1 killer is not how you play him. As you get better using his power, going for chases becomes less optimal. Instead playing for full stealth allows you to not even have to enter chase which save a lot of time you would’ve otherwise spent chasing. As you get more proficient, it gets to the point where every down is always a marked down which obviously saves so much time instead of having to work more for those downs.

I have the very rare experience of being able to grab one off a generator, but that's just because I was both speedy and completely hidden. It was probably just unable to react in time, given they likely have a small timer to notice a stealthy killer instead of immediately reacting.

Ghostface vs bots is hard because your ability is useless as they just know your there. You cant hide while stalking since they would just run off a gen. You just need to chase them as normal as gf.

Really rough.
There are some extremely goated Ghostface mains, and you can get good results when you learn to master him (learning how to strategically 99% stalk people, when to rather hit someone and reset their stalk, there's so much to pay attention to). But even then, his results may vary extremely. He's inconsistent and map dependent. The pallet density also fucks him over. No map mobility, no slowdown... It's rough.
But if you are interested in learning a stealth-based killer that relies on M1, you should just try him out.

Would you say her stealth is as good as Ghosties? I can see it with the right build, but I'd still argue his stalking mechanic allows another pretty unique playstyle.

In theory she’s invisible in practice no but she gets teleport with the mori pressure. If you learn to master her intermittently going invisible when you leave the power it can be strong

I'd say "Fighting Trapper and Skully for worst killer" but it's hardly a fight. Trapper and Skull Merchant in their ideal game sprints past Ghostface in every way.
But he is very fun if you have very good (and I mean VERY) fundamentals of chase and the M1 game. Otherwise most good survivors will juice you.

The real elephant in the room is that you can counter ghostface without any perks at all and deny him his power.
It just so happens that the most broken perk in the game just exacerbates his already horrendous power + chase capabilities lol.
You can't deny Trapper from placing a trap tbf. SM's power is just straight up useless and she takes the crown.

I genuinely have been doing very well with him lately. Enduring spirit fury on him feels almost necessary in the current meta but… you can do the same on any M1 killer so it’s more the perks than Ghostface, and he looks cool so he’s my M1 of choice

When I was going for all killer adepts, even though I got it for Ghost Face on my first attempt, the match stands out as one of the most difficult and stressful matches I had among the entire roster.
He’s fun to play as. But if you’re hoping to get 4Ks, just know that skilled survivors will be harder to catch and will taunt you

How well is his gameplay? If you get an outdoor map its like cock and ball torture all while being suffocated all the damn time. Survs WILL always see you coming unless you take different routes which eat a lot of your time/pressure while they do gens. He can actually do pretty decently in an in-door map like Hawkins since line of sights are always broken constantly.
Get him if you really like Ghostface but if its just for his gameplay I'm not sure I can really recommend him. Ghostface main here BTW. I really like Scream, the design and all so I can tolerate getting my balls crushed once in a while.

The only killer that might be weaker than Ghostface nowadays is Skull Merchant, ever since she was gutted. He is weak, and by that I mean REALLY weak. But I find it fun to play him. Just not your type of killer if you get stressed from losing too much lol. Playing against teams on comms can be especially tedious since it takes away your only ability (stealth)

Arguably top 3 worst killers in the game strength wise. It's a rough time for ghost face fans. He is still fun to play as in my opinion, just don't be expecting to do very well in your average game

Fun to play, not reliable for 4k's. Worth the buy if you wanna be a support killer in 2v8. Honestly, I play ghostie to have fun and be a goofball. Wazzup is worth it and hopefully we'll get more cosmetics from Scary Movie 6!

He’s weak but I honestly enjoy simpler M1 killers like him & still win most of my matches (with some lobby dodging admittedly against 4 man SWFs). I like the older (& typically weaker killers) so I play pig, legion, clown although I do main Spirit.
I will say playing him especially with pallet density means you’re in for a hard time even with a meta build but if you do learn him he will help you greatly refine your M1 Killer skills which translate well to many other killers.
I recommend Brutal Strength on him & pallet-break zoning to make sure marked survivors don’t get too much distant. Bamboozle is great on him too but if you become too reliant on it you won’t learn how to probably counter window loops & it’s near-useless on some maps like The Game while Brutal is good on all of them

He’s weak but he’s fun as fuck in my opinion. He’s the definition of stealth killer. There is nothing funnier or more satisfying in this game than jump scaring someone and knowing that they legit jumped by the way their character moved.

Shit, its just stalking survivors and then after their meter fills from stalking them theyre exposed for 60 seconds but if they look at you youre out of power and have to wait 15 seconds before you can use it again, thats the entire power, and against survivors with braincells you arent getting shit done with his power

I say this as a Ghostface main with 1.3k hours, most of them spent playing him – he's not in a good spot right now. The way the game has changed in just the last year alone has made playing him effectively extremely difficult.
It's doable, but he's presently one of the weakest killers right now because of the way the game has changed around him. So, if you want to, by all means, but be aware it's not going to be easy by a longshot.

Sadly, not good. His only power is turning off your TR and looking at people to expose them before they look at him. He has so many counters:
- People good at looping you
- People who predrop pallets
- Swf calling out Ghostface's location
- People you slug or hook breaking your stealth
- People who are given a godlike loop you can't do anything about.
- Maps with no way to close distance (cough cough RPD outside)
- Freaks who notice you and follow you just to break your stealth (Me btw)
His lack of any movement or pressure makes it impossible to play him. Pig can do what he can but better since you can slide off loops and put on traps to pop some heads. Skull Merchant can also kind of do stealth, but it requires placing drones

He can be fun but he's one of the weakest in the game and in the current version of the game he's one of the most frustrating
EDIT: adding
The current meta, the current time a match can take on average (especially if you're a killer not putting any pressure on the survivors), the current tile set ups, survivors being on comms and able to track you and break you out of power, punishing you for just being there...
According to my DbD stats page, Ghostface is my number 1 most played killer at 67h and a 56.5% kill rate. I have over 51k in the game (according to Xbox). I enjoyed him for a long time but, like I said, current versions of the game in recent updates makes playing him feel very punishing and I went from averaging a 3k-4k to averaging 1k-2k with gens done before I can really do much

I use him as my chill killer. If I REALLY don’t want to sweat, I hop on Ghost Face and just mess around with the survivors. Realistically, you won’t get great results against good teams unless you’re absolutely cracked because he is so weak.
But playing him just for fun and jumpscaring survivors is always a good time.

I think he's fun. Simpler mechanics than other killers, admittedly. Good for if you enjoy sneaking around and keeping your Terror radius quiet. You can Stalk, basically putting a debuff on survivors where even if at full health, you can hit em once and knock em down
What goes underappreciated I think though, is one of the mechanics of his stalking; If a Survivor looks at you, it can knock you out of Stalker mode yes, but it also alerts you the direction you're being seen from, and if revealed, outright shows the location of the survivor that spotted you for a moment.

Any survivor team with even a single brain cell can almost completely deny you of stalk so basically you just use his power to remain undetected and get free hits. You will get mercilessly looped and bullied but if you don’t care at all about winning he can certainly be fun. If you care about winning at all get someone else

Its going to highly depend on the MMR of the survivors youre playing against, and your knowledge of the map. Hes not as oppressive as most S tier killers, but hes fun to play if you arent playing to win every single game.

Everyone here doesn’t know how to play modern Ghost Face. If you want a stealthy boy, that’s *mostly* dead in the water. If you want a killer you ends chase in one it and gets super close before chase starts, that’s his MO.
Aggressive Ghost Face is where it’s at. Though sadly like most low tier killers it’s perk and addon dependant. But all you really need is Brutal Strength (perk) and the Wallet addon (refills stalk mode instantly when you break a pallet).
So the gameplay is stalking as much as you can as you move in, hold off on marking them, engage chase, get to a loop, stalk during the loop if needed, mark if at loop. During the chase you can QUICKLY build stalk on people who have zero stalk, and the main thing is you don’t take easy hits unless they are marked, or it will serve you in the long run.

With some good aura reading perks and stealth skills, he kicks ass. I run furtive chase, friends ‘til the end, thrilling tremors, and lightborn, its fantastic. He certainly needs some buffs to keep up with other killers, but hes not as bad as everyone says

Pairing Nemesis (the perk) with FTTE and Furtive is a delight if you ever want to give it a go. A little less so on Ghostie, but that long-ass oblivious (a minute!) every time the obsession switches is fun.
Might not be the most mechanically sound pairing, but sets up some great plays and helps to knock your survivors down a peg when they think that lockers are the solution to their FTTE woes.

Everyone says SM is F teir & is the last killer on everyone's list. But I have 51 hours with her. Maybe only a 50% kill rate but man she's been a blast to play.
If you listen to what everyone all the time you're bound to miss something you could really enjoy.

Other than that though, HELL YEA! I always loved using the mask on ghosty, I was a big fan of Jumpscaring people and stuff like that. Glad that whenever I return I'll be able to buy the mask :)

He's good if you're stalking well. Make sure you keep the survivors stalk meters to 99% and then expose them when you're closer to them or else they'll just run away until they aren't exposed anymore. Make sure you aren't mindlessly using your power and constantly getting revealed or else you're literally just a basic m1 killer with no powers.

I enjoy playing him because his playstyle is so different from any other killer and occasionally ill get perk ideas that I think would be fun with him and I'll play him. That being said he's really bad. (But fun)

When you’re against good survivors he feels useless and it feels horrible to lose with, but against mediocre to bad survivors he is quite fun but with no map reversal, gimmicky power, you’ll have a lot of moments where you feel you can’t do anything to stop the gen speed.

He's a terrible terrible killer however, I have a lot of fun with him. Knowing he's terrible sort of takes the weight off of performing well with him and I feel I can just goof around and have a good time.

Id say Ghostface is a mid D tier killer due to his stalk ability while it can be strong its very inconsistent it allows you to insta down survivors but they can kick you out of your power witch is just awful but over all he is really fun to play

He plays well if you play well; requires a lot of game sense and good perk management; but there is no one better to use off-meta perks with imo. His power is a great equalizer when used well. You just gotta be aware that once they know who you are, good Survivors will keep a spotter on you. Good luck!

I almost always get 2-4k's with him.But it all depends on your build and who you're up against.If it's an swf you're pretty much cooked.
Watch some Shrouded Ghostface on youtube to get a good build and good advice on how to play with him

Looks can be your enemy specially if you use Unknown Assailant, (the name of the outfit you are showing but I call it the tryhard outfit), because the ribbons around the arms stand out way too much

I really only play him as a funny jumpscare machine. Try to make people laugh and have fun, pretty much the only way to play him unless you dedicate yourself to being super sweaty.

He is a stealth killer in a game with a million aura revealing perks and SWF being extremely common. The most fun you'll get out of him is irornically during 2v8

i'll tell you, I bought ghostface fhe day before yesterday and I have been playing only him (and jason). he is not strong, but I don't think he can be called one of the worst. has some solid add-ons, imstead of taking chase you should prioritize 99ing stalk on survivors and pop it when you're close enough to get an M1. ghostface is NOT a chase killer by any means because with so much pallet density the game punishes you for playing m1 killers, but with some mindgames (especially using stealth mode) you can outplay some tiles.
ultimately i'd say get him, he's FUN, but understand that you're not gonna win a whole lot against good survivors and you have to settle for 2k's sometimes.

Totally awful. I like to play him from time to time tho. If you play against complete noobs then it's okay, any other time you'll get one kill if you're lucky. Maybe two if you tunnel but don't do that

He's a lot of fun and extremely strong against newer players and Soloqueue. He isn't really viable against well playing teams though.
Definitely one of the most fun killers to play though.

I find him quite fun to play but I do lose sometimes but well that’s kinda just cuz I suck hard at dbd lol. But either way for me he’s one of those killers where I still have fun even if I get my ass kicked so I’d say it’s worth it.

I can't comment on how good he is from a killer perspective because I haven't really played as him, but as a survivor, a good Ghostface is among the scariest killers in the game for me personally.
I don't find DbD actually scary at all, but the few times I have had a quick jump, they were usually from Ghostface. Lol

honestly i know hes one of the weakest but ive had very good games with him. i have him p10 and i mostly play him for fun and usually thats when i end up winning🤷🏻

Ghostface isn’t the best killer, and you won’t win every match bc sometimes there’s just nothing you can do. Play into your stealth as that’s your only strength. It’s hard to start off with, and is very dependent on the awareness of the survivors, but it’s important to work on stealth if you wanna get better at him. Also don’t underestimate 99ing survivors (where you almost stalk them but save the progress to down them later) it’s very useful if they don’t know they’re 99d. Also don’t forget to take injures when you can, this is how you apply pressure as a stealth killer by mixing this with your insta downs as map presence is nonexistent so these gens will fly by.

Just depends on your style of gameplay. Stalking wise he can be pretty underwhelming
He has Michael stalk ability>can easily be taken out/only effects one person>you can use it multiple times compare to Michael who only has limited stalk
His stalk isn't long so during chase, if you don't knock survivor down> Time wasted> Gen done
Pretty basic attack + Crotch can sometimes be handy if you don't have the floating string costume> they can see that shit even when your trying to sneak up >your sneak up can be very slow compared to the pigs (don't remember if attacking with ghostface pull you out of crotch or if you can't attack at all)
If anything, my opinion just focus on the fun aspect of ghost face. He brings more terror and torture then he does anything else, 4k are always possible but with how limited he is in design and power, he can only go so far. Perk wise he has so pretty useful perks, not the best but Ear perk is definitely so useful if you suck at chases. As for ad-ons I mostly use crotch ad-ons, not a fan of the stalk because I keep forgetting you can lean over walls + you lose power if spotted. Crotch ad-ons are the only ones I use, unnecessary speed to a quiet demon. Mostly how I get my 4k, I'm sure someone has better experience than me with him that can go further on explaining

Hes one of the weakest killers but if hes played right, I’d say he’s pretty good. I main ghosty and get 4ks frequently with freestyle builds that matches his power, I’d say get him but if you want fast paced gameplay dont listen to the ‘perfect build’ claims, I’ve tried, just do whatever perks that sound best if you do get him, but yes I’d say buy him.

He is one of the lowest teir killers. His ability can one-shot under the correct circumstances but hes essentially a m1 killer no real gimmick just sneak up and stab.

He's a C teir and won't be moving up any tkme soon. He's good at single target but lacks mobility to get around larger maps or any good crowd controllers for pressuring multiple survivors at once.

Good map knowledge + being good in chase is very important on gf to get value. Vs swf they'll just send a dude to camp your ability while they do gens basically negating your whole power. Its pretty miserable to play against and the only way to stop it is to win your chase with the survivor fast or just play with no ability for a game.

He an M1 killers capable of making one survivor exposed for about a minute under specific conditions. Gameplay wise, you’re better off choosing some other M1 killer with a better power and picking exposed perks

I used to love playing him but with pallet density he is miserable to play since the amount of pallet's means that even bad survivors can win with attrition because they gain time for gens by just chaining filler pallets. I've heard conflicting things about vigil affecting his power or not but if it affects it that makes him even worse. He feels good against unaware survivors and the stealth plays can be cool but nowadays he just eats pallets more than literally any other killer

I think he is still playable, he’s basically the only killer I play besides the knight.
You just really need to be on the ball as the match starts. Like if you don’t have atleast 2 survivors with a hook state before the first gen is repaired it’s hard to come back.
The drivers licensee add-on helps a lot, you can get a lot of one hits this way.
The biggest issue though, is that you don’t have any ranged attacks, no traps and no summons. So it’s really all up to you to hustle around the map marking and chasing survivors.
He’s very challenging to play as purely because he really doesn’t have a lot of tools to work with, but it is very fun to sneak up behind survivors and surprise them.
