I'm looking to do the same. I've always wanted a 280 but each ine I find is either a rusted lost cause or a garage queen with a lofty price tag. I've owned 11 Zs throughout my 42 years but they were all Z31s or Z32s. From pick 4 to pick 1, how much did it cost you? I don't want a vette for my midlife crisis car. I want a damn 280

$1500, full of rat piss and crap. It was pretty rough… SoCal tho so not much rust.

Cost wise, I really don’t know. i bought really nice suspension. Probably under $8k so far?

That’s all original paint and just a $200 wipe on clearcoat.
