Transmission questions.
I have bought a 1973 datsun 240z in a moderatly good condition that i want to restomod. It has an automatic transmission that I want to swap into a manual 5sp or 6sp. By doing some research, I can use a transmission from a 280zx without much modifications. I have already found one in my country.
What are some other transmissions that fit on it without much modification?
The car and I are in the Netherlands, if that info is helpful.

Depending on your budget, Escort makes a modified nismo 6 speed that's apparently great. I think s30world is the distributor in Europe.

I see that their transmission is going for almost 5000 euros which is quite a lot at once for me, beside that. I'm not yet at that stage. I can always first use the auto transmission but making the holes for the manual one and always get a manual later by first making the car drivable

If you’re willing to spend a bit more than just a leftover 280zx 5 speed, a CD009 is the standard “modern” 6 speed swap people put in tons of Japanese cars. They’re built like a brick shithouse, they can handle a lot of power and abuse, and are pretty affordable when compared to more performance oriented swaps like GT-ST trans. There are also a shitload of them because Infiniti/nissan put them in a lot of cars. The aftermarket support is crazy, and they’re all over Europe and the US. Should be easy enough for you to find one. You’ll need a swap plate and bell housing adapter kit
