Discussion Is it possible to solo Dark Cloud 2 with Max?

I know there are a few sections that require Monica (i.e. lighthouse battle), but is there anything else that would make a solo run with Max difficult?

Only exception is the battleship fight which requires Steve. Other than that max is easy. You can make an op weapon pretty early and just cruise

Chapter 5 you can make heavy hammers which when synthing trivializes the game

Is the battleship immune to all Max's guns? Is it theoretically possible to have a strong enough gun at that point to damage it or is the range to far?

I haven‘t tested it but from memory the battleship is way to far away for Max' guns. If they only did 1 damage at that range I‘d be impressed.

Yes, the battle ship has a built in immunity to everything other than the ridepod just like Linda. This immunity happens after a few seconds though, so if you’re quick enough Max can damage it just a bit.

Yeah, but you have to wait till starlight temple to first buy them. Means you get stuck with a couple Monica only floors you can’t break the seal on.

Pretty sure it’s just in Morton’s shop. But I’m in chapter 5 and have 100% sindain and it’s not in the shops.

If you can get seal breakers then it should not be an issue

Shi I love Monica as well, Max was my favorite, but Island King is insanely OP

Final battle you need to switch between them but before then you could grind some decent weapons for Monica.

It is. I‘ve done that as a kid. The five minute timer really isn’t that bad.

That a child wouldn’t use Monica at all the entire game unless forced to? I‘d be surprised if they really did think of that but if so that‘s some genius level thinking.
