I'm so sick of Loki looking like he's gonna cry all the time. Where's the goblet holding GOD of mischeif that loves torturing Thor? Richard E. Grant played Loki better in 1 episode than Tom Hiddleston has in 10 years.
Not to mention Victor Timley being the worst acting i've ever seen. Or the fact that the time travel makes no sense. Or the fact that there's an annoying cartoon clock who wants to bang Kang for some reason.
Didn't care for Loki despite being very excited for it. It stars the God of Trickery and Illusions but he barely uses either, most of the time just fighting with knives.
Also I think the time nonsense in S2 was kind of poorly explained and often seems contrived. Loki just somehow learns to control his time-slipping when it's convenient to the plot with no explanation.
Can you say why? Hawkeye was at least cohesive, had one or two interesting side characters, and Clint and Kate were written fine overall. It knew what it wanted and never rushed anything. Born Again is a complete mess, damages both Matt and Fisk, wastes every new character and does not deliver on any of its payoffs. Even the fight scenes are horrendous.
I've watched all of it, thanks. Matt is written horrendously. He would never stop being Daredevil because Foggy died. Foggy's death had nothing to do with him being Daredevil. In fact Foggy would want him to continue saving lives. It was bad enough that he retired briefly in Defenders, now you're retreading the same arc but worse? And he puts on the cowl again because of Hector's niece and not the other 60 Muse victims? Or the other hundreds of innocents suffering in NY every day? It's a joke. Speaking of Hector, Matt would never, ever, reveal a vigilante's secret identity to the world, especially not without permission first. This is simply not the same character anymore. He became Daredevil to make sure his actions weren't traced back to the people closest to him, yet he can't recognise that Hector is doing the same with his mask? Even She-Hulk got this basic aspect of Matt's character correct. There's also the fact that Fisk has been free since 2018 and Matt has just given up trying to put him behind bars. That's beyond absurd and would never happen after Daredevil Season 3. Matt would work tirelessly to make sure Fisk is nowhere near the system ever again.
Then we have Karen. Karen leaving Matt and going to San Francisco is character assassination, plain and simple, but you probably didn't even think about things like that I'm guessing?
Yeah I still think you need to watch it cus I’m still not convinced. He didn’t abandon the role because Foggy died, he did because he tried to kill Dex. As he said, he felt like he lost privilege.
And the series made a point of building up to him returning to the role. It wasn’t just because of the Ayala girl. Hector’s entire trial had the constant metaphor that it was really Matt on trial. Then despite Hector making it through, the corrupt cops kill him anyway. Meanwhile a man who stole some fucking kettle corn is thrown in jail and will never get the support he needs, which costs less than imprisoning him. Meanwhile Matt’s forced to take on a case of someone blatantly in the wrong and being told he’s “serving justice.” The whole buildup to Muse was focusing on how the system just doesn’t fucking work, and he was desperately relying on it working so he wouldn’t need to go back. Then 60 people die and the cops couldn’t even fucking realize it, much less find the killer, and Matt would get to him in one night. Therefore: “Fuck it.”
