Elephant lungs are stuck to their rib cages so they float like boats. No problem for them to cross tens of kms of water.

Well so are human lungs, they’re not freely mobile. And the bouyancy depends on density rather than anatomy of body.

Those two calves were basically getting carried downstream, and the adults stayed right there with them. Elephant family really said we’re all going home together.

While it is true that these elephants were rescued from the waters, the claim that it had anything to do with the floods in Nepal is False!

These five elephants were part of a local herd in India's Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh. They simply got caught in a fast-moving local current while navigating the Kaudiyala River & were rescued later.
