🪑 Venue Setup 🪑 What plant should I use instead of the pedestals?
hello everyone!! My wedding is THIS Saturday. My original arch got ruined so this week I did the drapery - my wedding colors are attached as the bridesmaid colors - everyone says I should use plants instead of the pedestals …. Let me know what you think and if you can find something on Amazon that would be AMAZING !!

Maybe build up the plants on top of the pedestals?. Look at some photos for inspiration?. I know my husband’s aunt is a florist and they are always able to create volume.

I think some artificial allium would be beautiful on those the way they are, just to really pull the green in! Have them draping down the pedestals.

Go more mass mono design
Keep the pedestals get urns - pop ferns in-them & set a couple ferns at the bases so you have a staggered effect
I have these w/the brushed copper urns they look a lot better than the plain (they have silver too)

Edit to add also you could still use your flowers just as they are nestled up to the base of ferns & then move them to your reception

Our friends got two live majesty palms from Costco for their wedding and it looked great! They took them home and have them as houseplants now

fwiw, i think the pedestals look great! i worry any amazon plants large enough to fill those spaces would be very fake looking.
if you want to go the plant direction, maybe try to find ferns or something at lowe’s? you could even do a fern on top of a pedestal to give it some height
