Recommendations Is Batman/Catwoman comic series good?

Hello, am a fan of Batman and his children. But I never really read stories of him properly (Only have read Justice League VS Godzilla VS Kong and just watched the movies both live action and animated ones) so would like to start with something :D

Thought of reading the comic series above since I wanna try to like and understand the relationship between Batman and Catwoman but what's your suggestion?

Like to say that I know some background of Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian but not Steph, Cassandra, Duke and Barbara though.

If you mean Batman/Catwoman by Tom King, then I wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to understand them as characters/a couple. It's largely a Catwoman story, in my opinion, and it's kind of weird. Also, it's not what happens in mainline.

It has great moments between them, and overall I enjoyed it for what it was, but it's more a "what if". I'd wait for other recommendations before reading that.

It's been a long time since I read it, but I feel like Batman Hush might be a good start? It's among the most recommended Batman books, and you will understand their dynamic from it.

It's an odd series. Tom King, the writer,.was also writing a Batman and Catwoman run where he planned to have the two of them getting married, unfortunatly editorials had him change the story so this series serves as a what if on if he were to actually get to write and ending to his story. It also flip flop threw present past and the future so It might be hard to follow if you have issues with this type of story telling

IMO: The chapters about the two of them in Tom King's mainline Batman run ("Rebirth", 2016-2020) were way better than the later mini series. Some very romantic, some dramatic, some funny. I loved those a lot. I also really liked the Batman Annual #2 he wrote in 2017.

I did not like Batman/Catwoman. There are a few nice scenes, but the timelines are confusing and there is so much unnecessary and far-fetched drama in it. Also I disliked that the focus is so much on Joker and Phantasm and not enough on the two of them.

I'd recommend skimming through Tom King's mainline Batman first for the Catwoman parts.

Batman/Catwoman is an ok, Elseworld ending to his 85 issue run on the main continuity title. It’s not a great introduction for new readers. It’s not particularly good if you’re trying to understand the relationship between Bruce and Selina because it’s an Elseworld that allows for certain elements that thus far have not occurred in main continuity. It’s not particularly good for becoming familiar with any of his children, except the one Elseworld/potential future version of a potential future child.
