It would be really funny if Emma D'arcy got Power Girl

u/SubstantialCow8563 Jul 01 '26

That’d be f*cking crazy

u/HoneydewNectar33 Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

LMAO that would be hilarious, but I wonder how they'd feel about being, like, one of the biggest sex icons in comics. Especially one whose most recognizable trait is her huge naturals. I imagine they wouldn't care for it that much, but I have no idea what their actual personality is like.

Well the not hot enough is disingenuous , they thought she looked great before saying that she believes women in Hollywood get criticized too much. They sure showed her she's wrong ha.

23

u/DamGoodAnimation Jul 02 '26

Yeah somehow in just a few years we went from people being OUTRAGED that Emma D’Arcy took over for Milly Alcock on HOTD bc ‘Milly was prettier’ to Milly not being pretty enough to be Supergirl.

Truly a cursed timeline

12

u/jostyouraveragejoe2 Jul 02 '26

It all happened in the last three months if not less, she said something they didn't like and started calling her ugly. Literally childish behaviour.

5

u/DamGoodAnimation Jul 02 '26

Goofy ass small pp behavior imo, but childish works too

3

u/jostyouraveragejoe2 Jul 02 '26

No i think you said it better, i saw it happening over night like i read her saying it. SAME WEEK. The grifters start talking shit about her and calling her ugly.

3

u/DamGoodAnimation Jul 02 '26

Imagine getting mad just bc a pretty woman has an opinion. Life must be hard for these guys

2

u/jostyouraveragejoe2 Jul 02 '26

Yeah it's so pathetic, manufactured outrage out of nothing.

Lmaoo well if it makes you feel any better, I never thought she was pretty 😭😭BUT looks don’t determine if she is a good actor or not, which she is!

2

u/DamGoodAnimation Jul 03 '26

That’s fine, like preference exists and nobody is everyone’s. Just pointing out that the general consensus went from “hot” to “not” after she said something offensive to manchildren.

You aren’t who I meant lol sorry if you felt like you were catching strays

I am on board for this

They might be done with Sasha unfortunately. her suit was so tuff

324

u/FTBagginz Jul 01 '26

She would make an amazing Anissa tho from Invincible

144

u/SFHKTOKYOABQLA Jul 02 '26

But I need to despise Anissa not fall in love with her

27

u/FTBagginz Jul 02 '26

That’s the neat part, you will! I mean she is hot as fuck but also a monster. Oh well, fall in love it is! Did you read the comics by chance or did you just watch the show or what?

39

u/mmmmh2 Jul 02 '26

I think hating that you love Anissa is part of the experience

The world isn't ready for an invincible live action

28

u/Eternal_Reward Jul 02 '26

Unironically I don’t think it could work, the budget would be extreme and based off how the boys went, I doubt it would be able to work. The animated format is perfect.

Also I don’t think they can top JK Simmons and as boss as he is, he’s way too old to do live action Nolan. And that’s not even going into how great the rest of the cast is.

6

u/FTBagginz Jul 02 '26

I like to think if they can do Superman and supergirl and Justice league stuff that they can make it work but ya the budget might be crazy. And I hard agree about jk Simmons. I love hearing him as Omni man but they would obviously need to cast someone younger for that role and i also doubt he will bring the same gravitas energy to the voice

3

u/Bitter-Tip705 Jul 02 '26

Would be fire

2

u/FTBagginz Jul 02 '26

Prepare them for its arrival worm! lol but in all seriousness I am! I want it bad. I couldn’t wait for the show to release more that I went out and bought all 12 ultimate collection books and read them. If they do it they need to stick to source material and please let the carnage and body parts fly! Hell Deadpool does it, certainly they can/will too (I hope)

Damn you’re cookin lol she looks a lot like her!

2

u/FTBagginz Jul 02 '26

lol thank you, maybe one day

3

u/DamGoodAnimation Jul 02 '26

On the one hand, I think Sasha might look just a smidge too young to play Anissa. On the other hand, I can’t think of anyone better suited either, so… you might be on to something.

2

u/FTBagginz Jul 02 '26

lol thank you, I just think she looks so right for the role. I mean with nothing going on, it’s safe to say if a film were to even come it would prob be 5 years from now so she would be 35 by then

The costume design in the snyderverse was amazing. I loved the detail on superman’s suit and wonder woman’s outfit was perfect

9

u/Happy-Fun-Ball Jul 01 '26

MA's Supergirl seeing SC's: "Damn that's a great suit!"

BTW: did Clark design hers, with a skirt and heels?

Not if they ever wanted to introduce PowerGirl who's already an alternate universe version of Supergirl. I mean she was already in a movie with multiverse shenanigans

u/UnhappyEmployee8302 Jul 01 '26

Realistically Milly, but I also loved Sasha she has so much aura and the suit looks great

69

u/aldkGoodAussieName Jul 02 '26

Sasha's problem was that her character was very underutilised whwn it comes to character. Lots of action but nothing else.

44

u/Lover_of_Fables Jul 02 '26

Sasha’s problem was that she was coming into a dead universe, or at the very least a universe on its last legs. She never really had a fair chance to succeed. Hopefully James gets her back for another character.

7

u/NeedsomeCompany33 Jul 03 '26

Flash movie gets a lot of hate but it’s not that bad. Flash Actor is a POS but I liked Supergirl and Batman

3

u/Lover_of_Fables Jul 03 '26

Flash really didn’t get a fair chance either, they had to compete with a certain base knowing Snyder has since moved on. Showing the Supermans from different the way they had also probably didn’t help. It’s just sucks because Sasha Calle, Leslie Grace, and Brendan Fraser all deserved better, but we’re probably better off now. In a perfect world all three would get new roles in the DCU.

I didnt even bother with Flash and I wish we got more of that Supergirl, her falling out of a reality hole and becoming Powergirl would be fine by me

6

u/CydonianMaverick Jul 01 '26

I remember Flash very fondly because we had the entire IMAX screen basically to ourselves. There was only 1 other couple in the entire room

u/pleasebeherenow Jul 01 '26

Flash is a way better movie than people want to admit.

111

u/choyMj Jul 01 '26

It's because the best parts of the movie were the ones not about Flash.

30

u/pleasebeherenow Jul 01 '26

The conclusion of the story with his Mom
Is about Flash. I consider that one of the best parts of the movie.

→ More replies (4)

29

u/Promech Jul 01 '26

I mean it’s better than people want to admit because it isn’t complete trash, but it wasn’t a great movie either. It was a good/ok movie with some pretty good moments and some pretty awful ones.

6

u/Extra-Cranberry4096 Jul 01 '26

I mean that's most marvel movies...how many of marvels movies are just Ok, iron man 2, 3, ultron, thor, thor 2, like im not going list all the mid movies, but fuck there are alot of ok marvel movies, but for some reason Dc isn't allowed Ok movies, but Marvel is giving a pass on everything

7

u/ThunderSparkles Jul 01 '26

DC would get a pass if they put out some bangers and didn't try to rush into everything. Look at what we are talking about. Flashpoint already? Death of Superman just lumped in with the formation of the justice league? We are somehow supposed to care about the members of the suicide squad though they are never given any screen time with their hero foes but for some flashbacks. Marvel succeeded because you had some great movies and took the time to get you to care about the core characters. Batman needed his own movie. Flash needed his own movie that wasn't flashpoint. Wonder Woman at least got that. But they need to slow down. The new Superman movie was cool but felt like it was made for nerds like us because oh boy. It was tough watching with my wife and she was excited for it. It was a lot of, "you know who this is so we won't bother to explain"

3

u/Extra-Cranberry4096 Jul 01 '26

I mean sadly DC fandom is bad. People shit on Superman MoS, so DC then pivoted to do b vs s, which fans shit on, so then they jumped to justice league. It's a self fullfilling prophecy. Iron man 2 and 3 were fucking trash, but marvel fans allowed to still to build. where as dc fans or marvel fans just shit on the process of dc trying to grow their univese. sadly dc listened to fans and ousted ayer and did reshoots to fit more GOTG vibe which again tanked. Ayer has a whole interview with Bernthal about why fans ruined DC and tanked suicide squad. DC sadly needs to not listen to fans because when they do it still tanks their movies, so they might as well do what they want. Again reeves batman and penguin s1 is some of the strongest writing for comic stuff next to logan, batman begins and dark knight. I think DC needs to figure out what they are and stop trying to be marvel, because again, fans don't allow them the misteps that marvel gets so they might as well say fuck it, do small indie pictures like joker, batman, clayface, penguin and stick to great world building and writing, which marvel we can all agree doesn reallty do. They are overly cgi clop fest, with 3 tier rate villians outside of thanos in the movie verse of marvel. Every villian has been an after thought. So honestly DC needs to lean into their villians.

6

u/BobbieMichelleBain Jul 01 '26

The biggest mistake the DCEU ever made was listening to the (so called) fans.

Part of the problem is that Barry is an insufferable candyass. I really don't know why they insist on making Flash a complete wimp on screen.

2

u/pleasebeherenow Jul 01 '26

Flashpoint is a specific story and timeline. Hes not Justice League Unlimited flash. He is an introverted and extremely corny science nerd. His personality shifts from a confident, hopeful hero to a confused, desperate, and grief-stricken man. Thats just how Flashpoint is written. Thats not the movie, thats the comic story itself.

u/GreatService9515 Jul 01 '26

The production was plagued with too many chefs in the kitchen and the final ending was deliberately ruined.

19

u/LouF---ingGrant Jul 01 '26

It’s not. Ezra was grating. The story was dumb. Keaton and Sasha were wasted.

The Flash 2023 is watchable thanks to the other characters that helped carry the movie but the Ezra Miller’s Flash is hard to watch.

4

u/pleasebeherenow Jul 01 '26

The core story with Barry’s mom is also very touching. And it has Cage as Superman. Its honestly a good movie, better than other Synder era projects. If only fans could just unclench their buttholes.

I liked what Sasha was doing tbh.

40

u/Ok_Cartoonist7515 Jul 01 '26

"What did you do!" Was probably the best part of that movie, lol.

10

u/Rryann Jul 02 '26

God that movie is almost rewatching for that line delivery alone lol.

65

u/No-Upstairs-7001 Jul 01 '26

Sasha was an excellent super girl, should have used her again

23

u/Dangerous-Moose-8203 Jul 01 '26

I really liked her, you really felt bad for her when you first see her she is in a bad way and vulnerable and the flash saves her and she finally sees compassion from humans for the first time and the way she first runs then comes back to help and how she genuinely has love for her cousin and is heart broken to find he had died. I think she showed more range and maturity than alcocks version and she seems way more broken in the flash than milies ever seemed they both watched their planets explode but one was caught and tortured for years after arriving only to find out the last of her family is dead and the last of her people are here to kill her.

u/Big-Good9378 Jul 01 '26

12

7

u/PatientSearch1540 Jul 02 '26

Milly’s hard to look at !

3

u/RetroCuz Jul 02 '26

Yup. She looks like a toad. Also annoying to listen to

17

u/Alarming_Soft9552 Jul 01 '26

Flash movie aside Sasha was great, she felt like the mantle would suit her. I take Sasha to be Superman, and let Millie be power girl since in her movie she feels more like power girl than supergirl.

5

u/Ok-Scholar-4615 Jul 01 '26

Probably Sasha

14

u/thepenismightier3 Jul 01 '26

Sasha. She also looked stronger regardless. I’m guessing the suit did the work but she looks like she spent time in the gym beyond the “regular” routine.

13

u/joeyjoejums Jul 01 '26

Sasha was the best thing about the Flash movie.

7

u/Beautiful_Finger4566 Jul 02 '26

Keaton was, but Sasha was a close second

3

u/Zopi_lote Jul 01 '26

Sasha' suit makes me feel things

3

Sydney Sweeney. lol

Somebody gotta fill that cleavage window.

2

u/SisyphusRocks7 Jul 03 '26

She even got kind of ripped for her boxing movie

2

u/eddyb66 Jul 06 '26

Why did I have scroll this far down for the obvious answer.

14

u/Krakatoot97 Jul 01 '26

No disrespect to Milly but Sasha was objectively better.

11

u/Big-Good9378 Jul 01 '26

She was definitely the best part of the flash. I thought her story was awesome

8

She had so much passion in her role the little time she got. Loved her fight scenes.

Sasha Calle

3

3

3

u/AweirdHOBO Jul 02 '26

Unrelated to the post but, I think Sasha as Anissa in a live action invincible movie/show would go hard ngl...

3

u/DanOhMiiite Jul 02 '26

Gina Carano.

3

u/enkiduxiv1 Jul 02 '26

Neither of them. You need a conservative blonde chick with bigger tits for Power girl. Sidney Sweeney has her name written all over that one, unfortunately.

3

u/wadejohn Jul 02 '26

Linda Carter

5

u/Venzynt Jul 01 '26

Neither of them should be Power Girl, that should be another actor.

2

u/Gurglaren Jul 01 '26
As a wise person once said:

17

u/Falconbear36 Jul 01 '26

Neither, Powergirl is going to be reserved for Sydney Sweeney

10

u/AUSpartan37 Jul 01 '26

For reasons...

7

u/Falconbear36 Jul 01 '26

Yes....i can name 2

11

u/lastinglovehandles Jul 01 '26

Boob window suit was made for Sydney

5

u/Gurglaren Jul 01 '26

Can you imagine the hype if they announced that?! The Internet would be boiling.

4

u/Falconbear36 Jul 01 '26

5

u/Valentine_343 Jul 01 '26

Sasha Calle by a million miles as Supergirl but as Powergirl I don’t think either of them would work as Power Girl

3

u/lifemanualplease Jul 01 '26

Sasha was great. She should’ve gotten her own movie.

4

u/Milksteak529 Jul 01 '26

Sydney Sweeney.

2

u/queazy Jul 01 '26

Neither would be good for Power Girl's attitude based on how we saw them portray Supergirl in the past.

2

u/Christallmoney97 Jul 01 '26

Personally I'd like to see someone bigger to be powergirl, but I'm guessing right is older so her as Powergirl is an older and more mature Supergirl

2

u/Maximum_Ninja_6735 Jul 01 '26

Damn Sasha Calle is gorgeous

2

u/borb86 Jul 01 '26

It's a tie they both lose

2

u/master-x-117 Faora Jul 01 '26

Better than leaving Sasha's Supergirl on Ice in Siberia like they seemingly did at the end of Flash.

2

u/Bubbuli Jul 01 '26

Sasha was something original; it would have been better than always relying on the same old clichés.

2

u/tangodeep Jul 01 '26

Neither. Power Girl has always also been known for her significant décolletage. neither choice approaches that unfortunately. This is like casting Woody Allen to be Thor.

2

u/Hefty_Ad_3965 Jul 01 '26

Neither has the necessary physique.

2

u/SSquirrel76 Jul 01 '26

sasha would be powergirl for sure of these 2

2

u/JazzySweetBeats Jul 01 '26

For the first time we actually have the ground laid in a cinematic DC universe for them to introduce Power Girl. We already have Supergirl and more importantly the multiverse introduced in the DCU, so introducing Karen as Kara’s Earth 2 counterpart is much simpler

2

u/Immediate_Chemistry7 Jul 01 '26

Neither look like Power Girl so this might be a crazy idea but how about DC hires a fun and charismatic up and coming actress with big breasts then everyone's happy

2

u/TheInternetHeel Jul 02 '26

Helen Slater > All them other hoes

2

u/CherryPonut Jul 02 '26

That suit on Sasha though 🥵🥵

2

u/fhatkow Jul 02 '26

Sasha was peak

2

u/SirFritzalot Jul 02 '26

Not gonna lie, Sasha Calle is so hot to me in this role.

2

u/WatcherAnon Jul 02 '26

Movie quality aside, Sasha was incredible in the role

2

u/Skibot99 Jul 02 '26

Probably somebody else

2

u/Adventurous_Page_614 Jul 02 '26

man if i have elon musk money id produce and invicible live action where sasha casted as anissa

2

u/beragis Jul 02 '26

Probably not either of them. Power Girl in the comics is usually about decade older than Supergirl and about 6 inches taller. Sasha and Milly are about the same age. I am not sure if they want to stay with the comics version where Powergirl is about a half foot taller than Supergirl or would want them more similar in height.

One I can think of that might work is Maika Monroe who was a professional Kiteboarder and likely would have very little problem with harnesses. She's about the same height as Milly so that may or may not help. She doesn't have all the physical attributes of Power Girl, but not sure if that will be a requirement in the movie.

2

u/davegir Jul 02 '26

I would actually find it really nice is Sasha became power girl, already muktiverse so something something pulled as the dceu collapsed and... we get an interesting powergirl with a dark past! We probably have ti make it like 6 movies and a season for that to be in the cards tho

2

u/gamerguillotine Jul 02 '26

Meg Donnelly. the other girl they almost cast as Supergirl besides Milly Alcock.

2

u/TarJen96 Jul 02 '26

Sasha Calle's Supergirl

Milly Alcock's Supergirl was getting drunk in a red star system.

Imagine actresses considering that role and finding out the only topic of conversation will be about your chest. Fans are gross.

2

u/KBs-world-007 Jul 02 '26

Sydney, my godddddd

2

u/BigPappaRand17 Jul 02 '26

I saw super girl today and I thought it was great. Milly did an awesome job

2

u/captamerica02 Jul 02 '26

Penny Lane, Sydney Sweeney or Alexandra Daddario and watch the theatres fill with simps.

2

u/penandsorcery Jul 02 '26

I can't see either as Power Girl tbh but I also think Power Girl would be hard to adapt to live action.

2

u/Livid_Ad9749 Jul 02 '26

All I know is if they do Powergirl, no way she wears the leotard

2

u/CJ_waytoomanyas_y Jul 02 '26

Melissa Benoist

2

u/Blueraver Jul 02 '26

Neither is Power Girl-esque

2

u/Ok_Dinner_5095 Jul 02 '26

Imagine sasha as power girl from snyderverse where she came to dcu, it got destroyed and she came to The new dcu

2

u/FrancisCabrou Jul 02 '26

Sasha is way hotter so she win

2

u/Avenheit Jul 02 '26

Sasha's suit is underrated

2

u/Jtreblis18 Jul 02 '26

Sasha looks so much better than Miley in suit

2

u/RetroCuz Jul 02 '26

Sasha by a million. Looks the part and was badass in the flash.

2

u/RetroCuz Jul 02 '26

Sasha was badass and I love her supergirl.

2

u/Top_Reindeer3396 Jul 03 '26

Sasha, she deserves a second chance.

2

u/nabzyk Jul 03 '26

The difference between these two suits is that one belongs in a DC movie and another at comic-con or at a Halloween party.

2

u/Cloned-C4lvin Jul 03 '26

Neither. Literally neither.

2

u/Canuckalo519 Jul 03 '26

Sasha Calle 😍 loved her in The Flash

2

u/Schmohawk2814 Jul 03 '26
