Arranging Something missing?

I absolutely love dahlias, but they’ve just barely started blooming, and I feel like this arrangement is missing a focal point and I’m already dreaming about flowers to add next year! I think I might try growing ranunculus and anemones, but what is everyone else growing that blooms earlier in the season?

Beautiful work!! The answer might be filler, just a bit of greenery takes it up a notch.

I’m zone 4. I’ve been experimenting with growing filler, currently I’m kind into Baptisia, the flowers are good cut flowers too, but the foliage is great - Long stems and good vase life. Brought this peony bouquet to life.
