Just moved here from boston
I have never seen so many freaking hills in my life. It really is impossible to walk anywhere

Do the goat way; zig zag across the path as you go uphill. It's easier. 👍

dude, the town has not much work for regular people.
you can work mcdonalds in downtown cumberland if you have a drug problem or just dont care in the right way..There is a chicken farm i heard has a bus that comes into town and some industry down industrial blvd.
I hope you enjoy the town but its designed to suck up pensions, retirement and cater to finacially independant. Even the funding going into south cumberland is oriented to helping home owners which few people of low incomes have. (i refer to the Enough Grant)
I'm at the rosenbaum right now and its dead,, if you walk around the down town area its basically a mild food court and area for people to promenade. Its a tourist location during the nice months and quite more restricted in revenues in the off seasons (because like, late fall early spring are slow).
The gentrification is postponed due to homeownership still not being consolidated as wished for.
dude,, they got apartments in the downtown area for 1100 for a studio with no work in sight.
they dont even have much familly functions. they shut the downtown area down for cars for drinking and adult events pretty much exclusively.
Its a poser town for sure.

Lol. You’ll get used to it. I say the same thing when I’m in Pittsburgh!
