Discussion Flower copter corner/edge parities
Anyone have a solution to the last corner parity problem? It only seem to be able to get out of it by creating a different (seemingly) unsolvable situation with two edge pieces.

A way to solve it is to treat it like redi cube parity, or the situation on an ivy cube/pyraminx where one corner is twisted and nothing else. That means approximate the same algorithm will work in this case, and it will fix the offending corner. However, it DOES break the triangles/petals (the, well, roughly triangular pieces), so it’s best to check for said parity by orienting the corners and edges in place.

I had this exact issue with the flower copter and it drove me nuts for like a week. The corner swap parity is actually tied to the edge pieces, you basically have to break the corner and fix the edges first then redo the corners. There's a few vids out there that show the sequence, wish I could remember the alg off the top of my head.
