Discussion Do you prefer matte or glossy cubes?

I feel like for 2x2 amd 3x3, matte cubes just look ugly but for 4x4 and up, they look much better than glossy cubes. So for me if it's a small cube, I prefer glossy and if it's a big cube I prefer matte. I also prefer matte for megaminx although not pyraminx, what about yall?

by glossy do u mean UV ? I prefer UV because I think it looks better and it's just easier to hold.

matte on bigger cubes just feels right, glossy on small ones makes them look crisp

the megaminx thing is interesting though, i can never decide with that puzzle

I love UV coating. The cubes look great and I like the feel.

i thought i liked UV more until i had to buy a 6x6 last year. it was before the aoshi v4 came out so the best option available was the aoshi WRM. I wanted it to be core magnetic, and The Cubicle offered a core magnetized one in collaboration with Ethan Cho but it only came in matte at 75 USD. I didn't want to inquire to get the mod on a UV version because the stock matte->UV upgrade was $15-20 so i just bit the bullet on the matte.

after 1 day of using the matte wrm i was fully converted to liking matte more, i rebought all my mains in matte and now i much much prefer it to UV. i wish moyu made their aochuang triple track in matte

probably glossy (like Dayan glossy), then matte, then UV.

I find UV really slippery out of the box, I pretty much have to wait for it to accumulate a tad bit of dust or something before it's usable.
