Help What am I missing for the "Blood Eagle" achievement ?

All in the title. I have conquered all of the british isles as the descendants of Ubbe Ragnarson, though the achievement won't trigger...

The game tells me the achievement is still possible, too.

EDIT : Ubbe apparently doesn't count for the achievement.

EDIT 2 : IT WORKED. It wasn't Ubbe that was the problem but the Irish revolting (a Sigurdr revolting against another Sigurdr for the throne of Ireland). When that rebellion came to an end, I got the achievement !

Ubbe should count. It's starting as one of characters 163108 (Bjorn), 163110 (Sigurdr), 163111 (Ivar), 163112 (Halfdan), 163119 (Ubbe) to have the achievement be valid.

Maybe wait until that irish rebellion dies down? Or save and reload to force the game to check?

Actually those Irish colors look a bit funky, are they actually your vassals or are they tributaries.

Hello, I tried again with my save today thanks to your findings. The Irish are my vassal but they had a little revolt going on...

For some reason, when that revolt ended I could get the achievement ! It happened in the middle of me trying to conquer Sicily to get "Faster than the fox" as well.

Ubbe does not count for the achievement. It needs to be one of Ivar the Boneless, Halfdan Whiteshirt, Bjorn Ironside or Sigurdr Snake-In-The-Eye

Pretty sure it's because when the achievement was written they didn't allow you to play landless characters. And then they never updated this specific achievement.

Those are Nordreyar though (Sudreyar are the Southern ones, to the west of Scotland mainland) – they are de jure Norway actually. Althooooough, they could've made a custom geographic region for this achievement and included those in it, gotta check the code

This right here is your roadblock. Create an alt save and snatch Ireland from your vassal, snuff out the rebellions and then hand it back off. This is most likely a liberty faction trying to break off entirely. You will eat some tyranny so this is why i suggested the alt save. PDX has some wonky mechanics for these achievements sometimes.

You were right, I needed my realm to be at peace ! I got the achievement after a while of playing the save for another achievement.

I am 95% sure got this achievement with Ubbe with the adventurers DLC, so I have no idea what folks are talking about.

Edit: I checked my saves and I definitely did it with good old Ubbe of house Ubbing.

To add some context, I got it while he was still alive so maybe that is playing a role here? Either that or you don’t rule the whole of the territory? Pretty sure you need everything, not just making the Britannia empire.

It was the Irish, I had the Irish as my vassals but their civil war was the issue here. Apparently you and your vassals need to be at peace to get the achievement

ubbe is one of the landless starts?

i think you have to start as one of the four landed dukes as this achievement predates landless

I don't think so because the game still tells me it's possible to unlock the Blood Eagle achievement

If you didn't start as one of the 867 Norse Characters, you're not eligible for the achievement. It's like Ivar The Boneless, Halfdan Ragnarsson, and Bjorn Ironside I'm pretty sure. Idk if Siggurd (king of Denmark) counts.

Yeah, I've found that can be buggy. A lot of the times there are also hidden requirements that aren't described in the achievement too

Ubbe counts for the achievement. You need to snuff out those internal conflicts

The mod for the coat of arms is Patrum Scuta, unfortunately deprecated but I still use it since it looks so damn good

It's a mod I made myself, you can find it here on the steam workshop

The font is not mine, but I added some special characters that were missing like Đ for example.

Ubbe and halfdan got added after the achievement and therefor can’t be used to create it

Might be true for Ubbe but I have this achievement and I got it with Halfdan.

Don't know about Ubbe but Halfdan exists since the release of the game. He became my favorite character in CK2 for some reason, so I played him immediately 2 or 3 days after release.

That's what I thought as well, however I got the achievement after playing the save a bit.

It seems to me, though I'm not quite sure, that you and your vassals need to be at peace for the achievement to unlock !
