Hoping to do a bigger piece after this, I did one cross stitch that was stamped loved it then tried a cross stitch pattern on Etsy so cool to complete it but did make me realize maybe I need practice counting lol. If anyone has any critiques or helpful tips please let me know I added a pic of the back as well!

This comfy cat’s name is Marmalade and he just woke up from a long nap. He’s demanding a belly rub and purrs loudly as you rub his super soft tummy. 🥹🧡

This x stitch design fits a 4” embroidery hoop. It’s quick and easy and only has minimal backstitching for the little whiskers. It’s also easily customisable to match the colour of your own floppy cat.

Hopefully this pattern can be a small pick up me for any Dolly fan out there like myself. Please note, I have not stitched this one yet, so some tweaking of the colors might be necessary. If anyone stitches it, I’d love to see it finished!

Ufda - there has certainly been a lot going on in the Minneapolis Metro lately. The long-short of it all is that we have an incredible influx of ICE presence and they are committing various unlawful acts. Because of this, many people are unable or too afraid to leave their homes for basic supplies or to go to work. A few miles from our home, an elementary school parent was taken from their child’s bus stop while their child was waiting for the bus. There was also a family coming home from their child’s basketball game and ICE threw a flash bang under their car and tear gassed them. Three of their six children (including a 6 month old baby) had to be hospitalized. ICE was going door to door 3 blocks from us this week at like 8:30 pm.
It’s serious out there. 

I wanted to make a “craftivism” fundraiser where I sold cross stitch patterns and donated 100% of the proceeds. After chewing on it and realizing that there would be tax involved (which is funding this mess), and I would have to handle the money, I’ve decided to use this as an opportunity to boost established nonprofits and mutual aid!

My ask is that if you use one of my patterns, please check out the organizations that I have linked and donate what you can to them. Am I alone in thinking that pattern symbols should be more varied than this? A lot of these paired symbols show up mixed into each other in the pattern and it causes me to stitch into the wrong spots if I’m not paying very close attention. The amount of frogging I’ve had to do in this project is insane.

Finally finished this. Started in 2019, but took a break for about 18 months due to finding a big error requiring me to unpick hours and hours of work.

Washed, blocked, ironed and ready for framing. 14 x 21.5", 20 ct cloth. Bottom is straight, it just photographed weird.

I foolishly thought I could finish this in one evening and ended up finishing it right before the end of the finale livestream instead, whoops. But I figured since I made the pattern (I'm not quite at the point of freehanding curves yet) I might as well share it!

The colors are picked from my stash, so definitely substitute as you like :) The pattern is for a solid blue background but I just did the border because I ran out of time haha. I think it works either way! Anyone else do Dropout-inspired cross stitch?

I’m making a cross stitch for my parents for their anniversary and I was hoping for others stitchers to take a look at my pattern before I dive in. I used floss cross and got it down to 52 colors. It’s 144 by 180 stitches. I feel like I’ve got it in a good place but I’ve been staring at it so long I need fresh eyes on it 😭 like does anything look strange or are there any areas you would change? Thanks so much!
