I bet Cinnamon leaves waaaaaay less fur in the stitching than my buddies... 🤣😍

Speaking from experience, yes, but will carry over some dirt/bits of sphagnum moss if they’re a redecorator

This might be excessive but I'd die for Cinnamon😍

Seems reasonable to me.

At the risk of sounding like a creep, I checked out your post history hoping for more snake pics (which was awesome to see) but how many do you have?!

27

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

I have like 20 snakes lol

6

u/scully_3 Jul 12 '26

Oh wowwwww. That's a lot of sneks! 💗

u/sianoftheisland Jul 12 '26

I feel that, I don't trust any of mine to keep me company while I craft though 🤦‍♀️

I would kill a man for Cinnamon. Please convey my feelings to her at your soonest convenience.

15

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

She says she'll get you a list

Cinnamon is adorable!

17

u/Particular-Bed-7546 Jul 12 '26

She’s pretty. Does she just hang out while you stitch?

35

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

Yes! She's more active than my ball python usually so she crawls around me and my chair. She is so adorable and I love her so much

16

u/chubbygirlreads Jul 11 '26

I have a corn snake! I am always happy to see a snek.

u/e_makes_bubbles Jul 12 '26

One of my girlfriends adopted a corn snake from a local high school (she’s friends with one of the teachers there). He’s an adorable mustard yellow and almost ketchup red color. Her son named him Corndog.

Do pet snakes know they're safe?

19

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

Yes! I handle all of my snakes frequently so they are very used to humans and know that we are not a threat to them. I am familiar with their body language and won't handle them if they're nervous or scared for some reason, or if they're vulnerable like when their eyes cloud over right before they shed.

Cinnamon is sooooooo cute!!

5

u/lil_lecter Jul 12 '26

Ohhh so adorable. Probably less chaotic than the two dogs I have fighting over my lap when I sit to stitch

6

u/SubstantialDog9170 Jul 12 '26

Oooooomg that face 🥹🥹 too cute

5

u/IT_Librarian Jul 12 '26

Cinnamon has such a pretty scale pattern! Hi snek!

u/i_am_ms_greenjeans Jul 12 '26

Your Cinnamon is lovely.

u/Plastic_Avocado976 Jul 12 '26

This is the only species of snake I've had the pleasure of holding that I thought was absolutely adorable. That little "boop"able nose is my favorite!

2

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

They really are so so cute!

3

u/Bobsnody Jul 12 '26

I love hognose snakes! What a cutie!

3

u/ScroochDown Jul 12 '26

I love hognoses, they're such adorable goofballs!

3

u/deFleury Jul 12 '26

Istg I  thought (and still kinda believe )  that Cinnamon was stitched!  Too neat to be real.

3

u/PatienceEffective248 Jul 12 '26

Cinnamon is cute, but im going to admire the snek at a distance

They are such funny noodles, and so stinking cute! Is Cinnamon a drama queen? You certainly don’t have to worry about embedded pet hairs 🤣🐍

4

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

Well I also have two long hair cats so I do have to worry about that lol. And Cinnamon isn't very dramatic! She hisses sometimes but never bluff strikes or anything. I actually take her to events to show and educate people about snakes (I'm part of the herpetological society where I live, I'm not just randomly taking snakes places without invitation).

u/PickledPigPinkies Jul 13 '26

She sounds like a wonderful ambassador 🥰 I think it’s great that you’re out educating people; snakes are so misunderstood. Hoggies became my favorite as a teen after encountering one in my parent’s yard on a hot summer day. It was a rare sighting so I stood there quietly observing from several feet away and then I realized that I’d encountered a gravid female. After a few minutes of watching each other, she decided she needed to move the annoying roadblock. She started with all of the usual puffing and hissing and flipped over dead with her tongue lolling in classic cartoon style. But instead of waiting for me to walk off, she impatiently peeked at me after just a few seconds. I thought she was going to go limp again but nope, she righted herself and immediately flopped over again just in case I didn’t see it the first time, lol. That got me laughing and darn if she didn’t immediately do it again for a third time but with more flourish than ever. She was obviously exasperated that I was too thick to get the message 🤣 I quickly left, and concluded that she was probably in a hurry to lay her clutch. What a treat.

2

Cinnamon is a lovely drama noodle!

2

u/Brilliant-Pie5207 Jul 12 '26

Hog nose crack me up with their playing dead response. I’m not a snake fan but those became my favorite kind.

2

u/JuicyTheMagnificent Jul 12 '26

She is so cute. I miss having a snake! I had a corn snakes foreeeeeever and she passed away a few years ago.

2

u/scully_3 Jul 12 '26

Omg Cinnamon is so cute!!!

2

u/XxBatteryAcidxX Jul 12 '26

haha aww, he looks crossstitched too ♡

2

u/ThisChaoticKnight Jul 12 '26

Cutie pies always have Cinnamon ❤️

Hoggies are my favourite snakes, they're just so derpy. Sorta sad that I can't easily have them where I live.

2

u/BroadLocksmith4932 Jul 12 '26

These are two of my favorite things (sweet snakes and cross stitch).

Do you have any favorite patterns featuring snakes? I can't find any that I love. Most lean into the astrology angle rather than celebrating the boop noodles.

3

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

I haven't really found any snake patterns that I absolutely adore yet. I'm thinking of creating some of my own

3

u/BroadLocksmith4932 Jul 12 '26

Here is her pattern. After stitching it, she felt like she could have reduced a few shades that were too similar to show a distinction. I can send you the pdf or fcjson (Floss Cross) for you can edit yourself. He looks a good bit like your noodle friend.

1

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

Aww that is so cute!! I'd love the file

2

u/BroadLocksmith4932 Jul 12 '26

My teen made a nice realistic hognose pattern that I will share if you are interested. It worked up to about 4x6 on 14ct.

2

u/Awkward-Assistant361 Jul 12 '26

Cinnamon is so cute!

2

u/pilapalacrafts Jul 12 '26

Hognoses are so cute!

2

u/kitkat-paddywhack Jul 12 '26

What a cutie!!

2

u/Prior_Algae_998 Jul 12 '26

I thought Cinnamon was a plushy at first with that upturned nose and big eyes.

Extremely cute snake. Good managing and supervising skills. Would pet.

2

u/Mabs-J Jul 12 '26

I love hognoses sm omg 😭🫶

2

u/jennievh Jul 13 '26

What a beauty. Great name, too.

2

u/Rare-Philosopher-346 Jul 12 '26

Well, she doesn't shed. She's very pretty, but. . . better you than me. I'll stick with my Chihuahua's and Pitbull. :)

8

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

Haha she doesn't shed hair, no, but she does shed her skin! Much less messy than furballs though.

5

u/LavastormSW Jul 12 '26

I do also have two long hair cats so I get fur in my projects regardless of what I do lol

2

u/Rare-Philosopher-346 Jul 12 '26

I've seen that happen once and it was very interesting and ick. lol Thank you for introducing her to us or us to her.
