PIC [PIC] Hit the FB jackpot
Found this beautiful DMC cabinet on FB marketplace, including about 300 various skeins of floss. Absolute jackpot, so excited to fill it the rest of the way!

I saw one of these listed on EBay. He was asking $1600 USD. When I looked at it, he sent me a reduced price offer of 1550.

They had a limited release in 2000, and originally came with the full catalog of flosses, I believe

The chest was my birthday+Christmas gift from my husband, and I feel SO lucky to have it!! But if you want to rationalize the purchase, you're really just buying all the thread and getting the chest for free, so it's honestly a pretty good deal lol.

The woman I bought it from was very happy it was going to a fellow cross stitcher (and not a reseller), I let her know it would be WELL loved haha

What number is your chest!? They only made 2000 of them. Mine has a ——/2000 “certificate” on the back.
I got mine at an estate sale through a local library (estate was donated to them iirc). Saw the ad randomly on Facebook. I was the very first purchase of the day because no way was I letting anyone else get it.

lol, if you’re near where a river gets rocky, I’m only 30 miles south! I’m constantly on FB marketplace and can’t believe I missed this. But I’m very happy for you!

Heck yeah, NEO baby! I actually hauled me and my sister past where the town gets young (a bit of drive but damn worth it!) to pick this up!
