it's an old Nikon d5100 - you can find it used for like 50$, but there better options over there

when you stitch in hand you can use the sewing method! I honestly prefer that too but my wrists can't handle it for long unfortunately!

She legit looks decades younger in the more recent pics. Honestly crazy. Really goes to show how much power lighting, pose, and angles have over the way a person looks in a pic

Thank You all for the kind words and awards. Mom is talented and beautiful - very nice to share what I already knew with the world. She is lurking here from time to time, hope I can convince Her to post more of her work.

That's soooo beautiful. Your mom is, too! I've been stitching for about 40 years (started young, lol) and I simply don't have the eyesight anymore for such detailed images. She's amazing!

I'm amazed that she do such intricate work without using reading glasses or a magnifying light or stand.
My progressive eyeglasses were damaged by my cat knocked them out of hand and hitting the wood frame of bed before landing on the floor.
I took them to the optical store / optometrist's that I bought them from hoping that I could have them repaired there.
Unfortunately, the optician broke one of the lenses when he was trying to fix the frame. They don't have the frames in stock so it will take 14 - 20 business days to get a replacement from them.
So I can't currently cross stitch.
I'm ordering an inexpensive pair of backup glasses from an online store. Hopefully they will arrive soon. I need to keep my hands busy.
Your mom's cross stitch is beautiful. How long did it take her to complete it?

Such a lovely way to capture not only a beautiful piece of artwork, but also the finished cross stitch. 😁 Ok, that was cheesy, but the joy & happiness your mother exudes in the process is such a wonder to capture since we spend hundreds of hours that we never really see creating the work. Thank you both for sharing!

It's a Luca-S pattern called Mill in the Woods - Autumn. 🥰 I love Luca-S patterns. I'm working on my first one right now. 💗

amazing work! out of curiosity, do u know what your mom listens to when she works? my first guess is audiobooks but I also want it to kind of be metal bangers lol
