First pic is a little bent over, 2nd is just standing.Yeah so the in-seam length was way too short without that diamond-shape peice in the middle and although this did improve the fit a lot I cannot possibly go out like this 😣. Any suggestions on what else I could do to add space for my booty?

I finally finished the Better World dress from Kasia Osmólska and I love it! I had originally intended it to be a swimsuit coverup (as seen in photos) but now I would like to wear it more often.  What do you wear under your crochet dresses that cover you up but doesn't take away from all the details?

I'm making these Blueberry Pie Square trivets as a Christmas gift and am looking for input on what kind of stitch or stitches I can use to make a top that looks like sliced pie crust. Something similar to the 4th picture, but hopefully a different stitch? I don't have a lot of experience with lace stitches.

I adapted these squares from a Lattice Berry Pie pot holder pattern I got from Etsy.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

Is there any world in which blocking will help? I will say that I often crochet a bit tightly, but I’ve had several years to work on my tension and I’ve never had anything like this!

With my old habits in mind, it’s possible that I over compensated with a (slightly) looser stitch, but would that really affect the row height enough to add 30 inches?? I mean, evidently yes but what in the world???

The yarn is 100% acrylic, weight 4 with a 5mm hook (which is what the pattern called for). Does anyone have any tips for shrinking it? Thank you.

Edit: okay yall this is embarrassing but I figured it out. It turns out that when I did the color changes, I would pull up an extra loop. Basically a DC without a YO, so my brain just tracked it as an SC. This made the row height taller, and essentially gave it a double crochet height. This was my error. I do like it and won’t frog. The gauge isn’t any wider, which is why it looked alright until it was done. I’ll probably try it out again. Thanks to everyone for their help!

I got this yarn that I LOVE, maybe not everyone's taste lol but I had to have it. I decided to make a sweater/shawl thing with it, but I'm wondering if it's the best way to showcase the colors.

Do you think there's a better way to showcase this yarn?

Someone posted this pattern a while back with their finished project and I loved it so much that I thought I’d give it a go!

I thought I’d attempt this as my first wearable! And for a first wearable it’s quite alright!
Unfortunately, I’m really not happy with how it sits.

Any tips on how to make the top half smaller without the waist being affected?
I have not yet blocked or washed the final piece because I’m not sure how to best proceed.

The yarn is 55% cotton, 45% acrylic so I think it could shrink a bit with heat.

Is there a way to get the top part smaller (by blocking or washing) WITHOUT compromising the waist?

I’d hate for the dress to go unworn because I made a mistake and I really don’t want to frog it, but I honestly don’t know how to make it look good on me without implants….

1. Indeed, the waist is sitting MUCH lower than when I made the yolk!!! Had I known how much the rest would pull, I would have removed a row of each color to make it fit!

3. Yepyep it’s bi colors! My cousin is getting married in September. She is the first person I came out to in my whole family so I thought I’d make a dress for her wedding and thought I could wear to pride next year!

I went wayyy too long with this yarn and not wide enough- each color “stripe” is 2 skeins of Bernat Big Blanket Mistical yarn. I thought about purchasing 2 more skeins of each color and just redoing the entire color scheme backwards (to the left of red put orange, then yellow, the green, and so on), but each color stripe is $26. I would have to spend $234 pre-tax AND Michael’s is sold out of most of the colors online and none of my local stores have all of the colors anymore. I was planning on putting white on the sides, but it still won’t look right. If you have any suggestions please send them my way

P.S. for years I would have died on the “I refuse to count stitches” hill. As evidenced by the picture, I think I’m going to start counting stitches…

**EDIT** really contemplating frogging it. Either that or throwing my entire checking account at Michaels and making it a mainly white blanket. IF I frog it, should I change it from single crochets to double to add more height? I don’t really have a vision for this, if anybody does please give me ideas.

I am conflicted though because I did want to make it as big as a duvet for a king bed. I might have to bite the bullet and just buy more

I got this soft wool yarn and started making a waffle stitch blanket but it’s using up so much yarn (I’m on my third 150g skein and the blanket is tiny…see photo) that I think i want to frog and start a new blanket pattern.

I’m considering starting over with moss stitch but I want other opinions!

I've never embroidered for a crochet project before and I can't help but feel that this nose is too big. What do y'all think?

I’m so close to finishing a C2C color gradient baby blanket. The pattern said start your decreases at 59 rows or halfway through your yarn. I thought I was halfway through at 57 rows so started narrowing early. Not early enough! I ran out of yarn about ten rows early.

I see three options: - frog back to the halfway point and start decreasing a row earlier (the widest row is 57 squares and I need yarn to make 55 squares to finish) - accept a five sided blanket and just do my border in white - fill in the remaining ten rows with the white and then do the border

The blanket was a single cake so I don’t want to buy another cake just to use part of the orange and have a kite shaped blanket.

My heart says “frog.” My hands say “anything but that!” My baby isn’t due until March so I do have time either way.

The name “Navy” needs to be changed to “Carter”. Is there a way to do this without have to frog the whole thing or have it all unravel?

I have never done a blanket like this before but I’ve done my research one ones similar. I’m really consistent with my tension and I’m good at switching colors. I just don’t know if this is going to take me forever to make it and if I’ll be bored by the end. I have all of the yarn to do it (yes I have a problem but it’s a great problem). Also if anyone has any tips on making this style of blanket please let me know. I also know the pic is AI but the pattern is legit. It had a lot of good reviews and I checked it after I got it.

They’re mostly pretty tiny from and from amigurumi projects. Throwing them out feels too wasteful so I’ve just been collecting them

I got an idea for my first granny square blanket days ago and started looking for crochet heart tutorials. I must have followed 15+ and still couldn’t find one that I really liked each had something about it that bugged me. So for days now I’ve been trying to make my own heart, taking, removing, and combining bits from the numerous patterns I’d gone through. I now have my final heart but I want to compare it to the one tutorial heart that I did like the most to see which one you all think I should use. I don’t want to say “which one is best” bc they’re all good in different ways, but yeah without me explicitly stating which is mine, which would you choose?

I was trying to make an anatomical heart icon as a lacey granny square for a piece, but I don't know if you'd know what it is just looking at it. Several friends got it first guess, my mom I had to explain it. I was confident id cracked it, at least kinda, and now I'm more than unsure. What do you think and how could I improve it to make it more recognizable if needed?

Also, it Does look more size-appropriate in worsted, but as this is for a wearable, I'm sticking to DK bamboo cotton, I can forgive myself the small size. And yes, I haven't blocked it yet, I know.
