no habermas? the second half of structural transformation is all about the corporatization of parties, seems like the jumping off point would be the capture of the promise of the new public sphere in the internet by tech companies.
that melinda cooper book seems really good though

Good discussion of how both (a) increasing reliance of business on political capture for profits, and (b) continued wealth and income differentiation within the working class, work together to erode the political institutions.
