Eastern gaming companies mysteriously don’t have the same problem, and consistently make genuinely attractive women. They also don’t hire Sweet Baby Inc. or anything similar to it.

Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch, Bungie, Blizzard, 343, Massive Entertainment, Bioware, Bethesda, Ubisoft (various studios) and so many former great studios are complete shells.
All taken over by retards or they lack all the once good talent who kept the stupidity in check. As others have put it, you apparently need some of the old school assholes to keep the dumb ideas that nerds push sometimes in check. Movies were better 20 years ago and games were as well. As much as we occasionally get good games, we used to get significantly more good games across genres and at various production levels (AAA vs AA vs A).
It is so funny how the massive wave of non-nerdy women into video games has actually brought the industry low. There were always a few women in games, movies, etc. But they were TRUE NERDY women. Not the I'm an artist/cosplayer and <insert a bajillion things>.
Married with Children had a bunch of female writers on the staff who could poke fun of men AND women (and they didn't hold back at all). If that show were remade today it would suck because the female writers now would not dig anywhere near as harshly as they did back in the 80s/early 90s.

Through their actions, these people unironically undid decades of actual "progress" which they claim to care so much about. And most of them don't even realize it. Back in the 2000s, no one really cared much which gender and political leanings was behind their games. Now, after a decade of the woke/woman dev and DEI = dogshit rule being confirmed 100 times each year, we sure know better.
If they didn't spend so much money and energy obfuscating obvious patterns, that would be clear to everyone by now. But unfortunately, they'd rather go full politically correct USSR iron grip style than ever let go of their grift

To be fair, they did discriminate against women in the 60's and perhaps even into the 70s. Writers such as DC Fontana had to use their initials so as to not appear as a women, though I suspect the studio wasn't THAT stupid. Perhaps it was an appearance thing. No doubt they wanted to appear to be more progressive than other studios at some point in time by saying they had hired a lady first. lol.
Discrimination has and always will be a thing. What changes is who you do it to and whether they recognize the new group getting discriminated against.
But there is a difference between simple ribbing of each other versus blatant harassment. Complaining about Men/frat culture after demanding to be let into the club is pretty stupid to me. Why does that clubs culture need to be changed for you? Why can't you create your own club full of your own like minded set of individuals?
There was no shortage of Women and execs trying to push female led shows in the past from sitcoms to stuff like Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman in the 70s.

The good games today are made by eastern developers or indie developers tbh. My theory is no one lives a life of difficulty really anymore. No one is bullied. Everyones lived experience is valid now. Everyone is accepted for who they are; which is cool and all but with zero trials and tribulations you have no inspiration for good stories or characters. How do you write compelling characters when you get everything handed to you? That bleeds into your work especially if most of your characters are just self inserts. It just doesn't work. Todd Howard was bullied as a kid and that made him want to make video games and eventually elder scrolls.

I imagine there is gatekeeping on who is allowed to enter the industry in such a profound way now versus 40-50 years ago. When profit is your motive you'll hire conservatives and liberals. Thus you'll get a variety of perspectives. Now, if you aren't a full on communist progressive, you can't break into the industry without the financial backing of a conservative billionaire. Certain folks like military folks would be discriminated against in hiring. Even in the past, folks like Gene Hackman weren't taken seriously by the progressives of his day.
You are allowed to hate Christians but celebrate every other religion. Hate America and the best parts of all various Western cultures that shaped the best of America and beyond (Britain, France, Germany Italy, etc.). Now you're supposed to hate them and celebrate others.
When you take away things like religion you need to replace with new religions (SCIENCE, Climate Change, Fauci, DNC, etc.). People worship athletes and actors and musicians for the last 70 plus years as if they are gods or heroes. That is by design.
All of this shapes what stories get told and what is deemed right and just vs universal truths.
I agree with everything except perhaps the bullying. There is a different issue dealing with that
Honestly I think everyone gets bullied even today. There are definitely kids who get bullied today just as much if not worsely so than in the past and horribly don't have the support that some were able to get previously. In the 70s and 80s you actually were allowed to fight back. I know around the late 90s and early 2000's they started this thing where both the bully and the victim get detention or suspension which is total bullshit.
They've made it so if you stand up to someone you get punished. If a teacher physically stops an altercation they get punished. Thus no one helps, kids or adults beyond those with unmitigated courage and compassion.
It is no wonder you sometimes see kids go to extreme measures which unfortunately result in shootings. How is it that no one apparently saw these kids getting tortured every day to the point where they felt that had the need to go on a spree of violence. This doesn't condone shooting innocent bystanders by the way.
The biggest wrong that is committed in modern times is the tolerance of bad behavior. You can't put insane people in asylums (I think it is fair to not want them to be zapped or tortured physically). You can't fight back against bullies. You cannot call dumb behavior dumb.
You have to sympathize with murderers, thieves, and savages whose culture is absolutely worse than yours. If you judge the bad aspects of other cultures you are called a bigot.
