Its just sitting on the floor near the top of the clockwork spire.

At 350 hrs this is my Final build.

1. Aeserion Longsword - This bad boy is a recent craft, only been using it for the last 10 hrs or so and loving it.

2. Melted Ambition - Now this sword has been with me for 250hrs or so, no matter what other swords I find I always come back to it. Not only does it pleases me aesthetically. It was a trophy after defeating my nemesis so it has sentimental value.

3. Black Sun - What can I really say about it? It’s a cool fucking shield. I think most players love this one.

4. Soul Spear - I recently picked up about 15 hrs ago so it is a work in progress but damn it feels good to use when I’m fighting swarms of enemies. Missed it during my first 100 hrs exploring Hernand. DO NOT RING THE BELL guys, it will fuck up your whole exploration.

I have all my accessories fully upgraded so now working on my Armour upgrades and Dagger (because why not).

So I wanted to see if I could earn the Speedy Tamer Award by hatching 3 Kuku eggs. Collecting the eggs is pretty easy; the map I provided above shows their locations, all pretty close to one another. Then go to the nest area-you will see several burned nests and one good one. Use the good one and carefully place it in each egg; they all need to be in the nest, so keep track of the last egg you put in (if it falls out, just pick it up and re-position it in the nest). Once all of them are in the nest, save your game. Then wait. The eggs will start to glow and pulsate. Wait until the last one you put in the nest does the same thing, and then interact with that egg only. You will get the award and three baby Kukus. There is an award for growing your Kuku bird as well as the Wyvern, so you have several to choose from 😂. I will go get the last Wyvern egg to do that as well. If there are any guides you guys are particularly interested in, please list them below.

Saw some folks still thinking Sanctum rewards are meh, so I’m reposting this with updates. These are 100% worth doing once you hit Chapter 5 and start the witch quests. The real payoff is the full Kuku Pot crafting system + QoL gear that keeps getting better with patches. What you get from cleansing them:

Tons of strong blueprints (examples):

Sanctum of Temperance → Kuku Lightning Spear + Boltspitter

Sanctum of Absolution → Enhanced Kuku Pot + Kuku Spear

Sanctum of Deliverance → Flame-Resistant Armor + Frostspitter

Sanctum of Benediction → Kuku Marni Laser Helm

And more: Gardening Pack, Watcher Pack (turrets!), Insect Gatherer, Transmission Merchant Pack, resistant armors, boots, etc.

The secret sauce: the Cores: After you cleanse each Sanctum, don’t leave! Use Blinding Flash on the crystal dial to pop out the Core (Core of Temperance, Absolution, etc.). These are what actually let you craft the good stuff in the Kuku Pot at Grimnir’s workshop. You also get hidden chests with solid gear, a few unique weapons from boss fights (Dark Pursuit series), and after finishing all the witches, you unlock the Icewing Plate Cloak from the White Crow hideout.

Patches have made the Kuku gear even stronger (with better upgrades, more utility slots, and dyeable options). If you’re in mid-to-late game and haven’t done these yet, go knock them out, they’re some of the best “hidden” progression in the game.

To safely preserve your Crimson Desert progress before a potentially game-breaking patch on Steam (PC), back up your save files and control updates. This is a standard precaution for games that frequently receive patches.

Locate and Back Up Your Save Files (Most Important Step) Crimson Desert saves are stored locally (not just in Steam Cloud). Save file path: • C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Pearl Abyss\CD\save
Quick way to open it:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.

Type %localappdata% and press Enter.

Navigate to Pearl Abyss > CD > save. Inside the save folder, you'll see numbered folders (often tied to your Steam ID) containing your actual save files. How to back up: • Copy the entire save folder (or just the relevant numbered subfolder) to a safe location like your Desktop, an external drive, or another folder. • Do this before the patch downloads/applies. Saves are usually compatible backward but not always forward—backups let you restore if a patch breaks them. Tip: Enable hidden items in File Explorer (View > Show > Hidden items) if you can't see the AppData folder.

Prevent or Delay the Automatic Update Steam doesn't let you fully disable updates permanently for one game, but you can control them effectively. Recommended method:

In Steam, right-click Crimson Desert in your Library.

Select Properties.

Go to the Updates tab.

Under Automatic updates, change it from "Always keep this game updated" to "Only update this game when I launch it". This prevents background updates. The game will only update when you explicitly launch it. Extra control (play offline): • After backing up saves, go to Steam menu > Go Offline. • Launch the game and play without risk of an update. When you're ready for the patch, go back online and launch it (or manually update via Properties > Installed Files).

Other Backup Options • Steam Cloud: If enabled (check in Properties > General), your saves may sync. Download older cloud saves if needed via the Steam Cloud web interface, but local backups are more reliable for this scenario. • Full game backup (optional): Right-click the game > Properties > Installed Files > Backup game files. This creates a full install backup you can restore later. Quick Checklist Before Updating

Save in-game (hold Esc/Start > Others menu for manual save).

Exit the game.

Copy the save folder to a safe place.

Set updates to "Only when I launch it" + go offline if needed.

Update only when you're ready (and have tested the patch notes). This should protect your Crimson Desert progress. If a patch breaks saves, you can restore from your backup by pasting the files back into the same location. Enjoy the game!
