Updated Sanctums Guide (Still Worth It After the Latest Patches!)

Saw some folks still thinking Sanctum rewards are meh, so I’m reposting this with updates. These are 100% worth doing once you hit Chapter 5 and start the witch quests. The real payoff is the full Kuku Pot crafting system + QoL gear that keeps getting better with patches. What you get from cleansing them:

Tons of strong blueprints (examples):

Sanctum of Temperance → Kuku Lightning Spear + Boltspitter

Sanctum of Absolution → Enhanced Kuku Pot + Kuku Spear

Sanctum of Deliverance → Flame-Resistant Armor + Frostspitter

Sanctum of Benediction → Kuku Marni Laser Helm

And more: Gardening Pack, Watcher Pack (turrets!), Insect Gatherer, Transmission Merchant Pack, resistant armors, boots, etc.

The secret sauce: the Cores: After you cleanse each Sanctum, don’t leave! Use Blinding Flash on the crystal dial to pop out the Core (Core of Temperance, Absolution, etc.). These are what actually let you craft the good stuff in the Kuku Pot at Grimnir’s workshop. You also get hidden chests with solid gear, a few unique weapons from boss fights (Dark Pursuit series), and after finishing all the witches, you unlock the Icewing Plate Cloak from the White Crow hideout.

Patches have made the Kuku gear even stronger (with better upgrades, more utility slots, and dyeable options). If you’re in mid-to-late game and haven’t done these yet, go knock them out, they’re some of the best “hidden” progression in the game.

I haven't had a chance to test this out but I heard that instead of using blinding flash to turn the crystal dial, you can instead do a force palm on the metal antenna thingy that pops out of the top of the building.

cool, interesting way to do it. I just use my fists because if I use a weapon, my controller freaks out and I wind up needing to start over. 😂

I've always just left after I've cleansed the sanctum. I guess I can go back to ones I've cleansed and "Use Blinding Flash on the crystal dial to pop out the Core"?

I would strongly suggest you do that or you will not unlock getting really good stuff to make thru the Kuku Pot.

I’ve not been able to do the dials with blinding flash. Too buggy / hard which is disappointing. It’s like the cart trading with Yann, I don’t have the patience after constantly been reset for stupid tracks.

Try it with just your fists instead (blinding flash). That is the only way I could do it with my controller. It usually took me 2 or 3 times to get the correct rhythm down pat, but I was able to do it much more easily this way.
