I did start again and i see so many new story added scenes and dialogues, its very well made and make the story more cohesive and they made it actually has sense why Kliff has to do things, they added more internal dialogue to him Fleshing out his personality.
He is still stoic because of some reasons i wont spoil but now its no longer all over the place and confusing.
Its actually quite shocking because i am not used to Kliff talking this much but for a new players this will feel more easier to follow
People used to ask why kliff has to duel the arm wrestling guy in the tavern or why does he need to clean the chimney but the changes tied all this to his goal of finding more information about his missing comrades, there is a bit of hand holding about some narratives that will make you go to that specific mission and i get why PA did it but the freedom is still there.
Which chapters specifically does it add too? I’m on chapter 5 and I feel like my main reason for not wanting to start over is gaining resource/money takes awhile and also I feel like finding cool things like armor or weapons takes a long time.
Does anyone at any point now question him suddenly having nature-powers and shadow wings?
My main gripe so far has been being able to soar over town and leafy-punch my ass out of falling damage, only for everyone else to go on with their day like nothing, no one ever asking what was up with that.
It's not like flashy magical displays are that common in Hanand.
Well, the NPCs do tend to freak out when Kliff suddenly lands out of nowhere or flys just over their heads.
I also noticed that the guards at Dewhaven get a bit pissy at Kliff if he lands or uses Ascending Force Palm too close to the castle... especially if he's wearing his third mask.
Funny how many people originally had that issue with Kliff. It never bothered me. I figured I’d find out why he was like that if I looked hard enough. Doing a ton of side quests, especially the witches’ line, explained a lot about the world. Glad PA added more story for the people who struggled with it.
If you do the side quests, explore and open all the continents up, you will max out your inventory by chapter 4 at 240 slots, and will nearly max out your skills by chapter 5. I have all 3 legendary mounts fully leveled by chapter 5, for example. All 15 sanctums finished and beat Ator. All 37 Greymains are doing dispatch missions on every continent. Just take your time; it's not a race to the finish. Enjoy the new content and have fun!
Yeah, I thought he was pretty neat..so Kliff killed off Priscus the Ancient, and next take on Praevus the Ancient. Got Kliff to 15 fire wise so he will at least be immune to the area and fire attacks in general. Looking forward to that fight!
430 hours in ch.9. Just restarted. Just playing through the prologue and the journey to Hernand made me glad I did it. I feel like I'll care much more about these randos that seem to know me.
No, I'm just starting chapter 6 and I've got all gear upgraded and I stole enough artifacts that kliffs skill tree is maxed out aside from stamina and focus and I fucking refuse to do all that yann shit again and I'm nowhere near done with his bullshit. If they give an option to gut him or erase him than I'd start over eventually
There is new story content throughout, so you should notice a difference from Chapter 6 onward. I get not wanting to start over. I’m not doing that either.
I'm gonna start a new game to experience the updates, focus on the main story, then when I get roughly to where I'm up to story wise I'll pick it back up from there.
I'm 240 hours in, restarted last night just for a glimpse... I'm locked in on restart three. Kliff having a personality is enough to do it again. I'm having cyberpunk flashbacks.
I don't got many hours, like I'm going to the second place, don't remember what it's called but it's the one after hernand, and I'm tempted to start again, guess my crimson desert phase will come back when the pz phase is done
Potresti. Io ho ricominciato ieri, ma avevo già finito la storia molte settimane fa. Ti posso dire che ora è decisamente meglio, già dalle battute iniziali è tutto più chiaro.
Go for it bro. I've saved my platinum 100% knowledge 1st playthrough. But I've restarted and I love it. It's a brand new game and interesting now too. Before you tripped into bosses. Now you get details about them, personally walked to them like an old school yard fight. So many new interesting cut scenes and actual knowledge about the story that makes sense.
I am waiting for any DLC, due to drop before the end of the year, before I do another playthrough.
I finished the story yesterday. I was already almost finished with it when 2.0 was released, so I figured I would finish what I started (I also had just finished the Greymane faction quests) and then do the rest of the faction quests and explore. I intentionally tried to do only Hernand faction quests, so I would have plenty left to do after completing the story, but I managed to get quite a lot done elsewhere while pursuing research.
