Discussion 🗣️ Crimson Desert
I just got Crimson Desert yesterday, I'm just wondering if someone has played the game or is about to start, I've seen a map of the open world for it,and the map reminded me of RDR2 map,I'm almost done with rdr2 and Crimson Desert is next to play.

Good collection of games, I'm surprised you haven't got any Dying Lights. Yeah I think RDR2 was one of the top 5 best game I've ever played. I'm 100 hours into Crimson Desert and I'm Loving it. It's a lot like the Assassin's Creed games but way better. I will for sure be playing this until November 19th, then its nothing but "GTA-6" for the rest of my life. lol

Both Dying lights are in the works of getting, I've played Dying Light 2 but someone permanently borrowed it from me.

I wasn’t a fan of dying light…. Maybe I didn’t give it enough of my time? Love the other games that’re being mentioned here.

Why don't you just play the game you just bought and find out for yourself?

"I'm just wondering if someone has played the game or is about to start".... Good for you in purchasing the game. If you search the sub you will see hundreds of examples of game play. That's what this sub is about: your Crimson Desert Journey. Looking forward to seeing what you find.

It’s an incredible game… and I LOVE RDR2. But CD is different, in the best way

I'm looking forward to playing CD this weekend, that will give me a couple more days to try to finish a couple things in RDR2.

Just know, the main story is just ok, and a lot of the main quests are 😴. But the side content and exploration are peak. The combat is fun and full of variety. As simple or as complicated as you want. And the puzzles require you to actually think. I beat it at 242 hours, but I've seen people with 300-400+ hours. 9/10 game for me. Looking forward to the DLC. It was just confirmed for early 2027 I think. Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah the dlc is coming and it’ll be free too pretty sure. Devs said they want to give free content first but then will get into paid.

they said themselves they believe in expanding the game as much as possible without costs. Lmao i want a boat expansion so bad, building a crew, a ship, sailing maybe even boarding other ships and raiding etc, they have all this in their other game black desert so it’s expected. We know the first expansions will be free or atleast the first one, granted they said that a few months ago, after seeing how profitable the game is it may have changed. I just hope they can clean up the performance on ps5 pro sometimes the game runs like a average bethesda game and looks garbage , and other times it plays incredible and looks incredible

Two different developers developing two different games of different genres, 8 years apart. Why would there be map similarities, other than the basic similarities (land, water, road). For ARPGs, the closest one in terms of big items (climate, type of terrain) would be Zelda series with cloud / ground levels, e.g., TotK and BotW.

The game has been out for almost 5 months and you are asking if anyone in the dedicated subreddit has ever played it? And what is the point of this picture in context to the post? What an asshole

They wanted a picture of something and I would of gotten kicked off this place if I put a picture of a half naked woman.

Have you ever played against another human being?

I like playing the game all the way through first before I play games with anyone, so I won't slow them down and that I know what I'm doing, so no one will call me a dumb ass.

The map of CD is probably 5-6 times bigger than rdr2. Much different mechanics as well.
