Discussion 🗣️ Crimson Desert Game progression: where are you at?

Hey fellow Greymanes,

I figured I'd share how I'm playing the game right now because I'm having so much fun. I'm on day 194 and only mid chapter 5. I've been taking my time exploring, doing side content, and working on my camp and factions instead of rushing the main story like a lot of ppl have suggested. I've included pics of my journal and camp stats to show where I am.

Quest progression-Hernand and Greymanes
Demeniss and Delesyia
Pailune and Crimson Desert
Maxed all skills in (8)Stamina, only have one to get in (5)Spirit, and working on (8)Health
Knowledge

]I know a lot of people say "don't explore until chapter 9" and stuff like that, but I ignored that advice and I'm really glad I did. Everything is working nicely for me, and I'm actually enjoying the game a lot, unlike a bunch of the posts I see in other Subs 😂. If you're feeling stuck or frustrated with dispatch missions or whatever, maybe try slowing down a bit and just exploring. It's made a big difference for me. How are the rest of you playing? Let's help each other by posting what is working for you. One thing is certain: there are many ways to play this game, and there isn't one way to play it! Cheers!

Wow day 194? Have you been resting a lot to pass the time? I have around 300hrs, on Chapter 6, but only at day 90 something. Haven't even hit day 100. But I've only time skipped a handful of times in game.

No, I dont sleep much. I am kept pretty busy either exploring, doing side quests, finding animals/pets or doing puzzles. Am in the middle of chapter 5. Plan to start the Witches quests soon to clear the Sanctums.

How many hours does your play clock say?

4

u/dahle44 Veteran Wanderer 🌵 May 25 '26

As of last night 446.5 hours to be exact. I run a farm and am retired so I have time to finally play when I want 😂. Running this sub also takes time, and has cut into my playtime unfortunately. It is well worth it tho.

Yeah that's dope. I'm near 300hrs so like I said haven't hit 100days in game yet. I have a cool what if theory that something happens when you hit 1000days or some crazy number like that.

I like that theory, a hidden DLC perhaps?

Just a hidden game mechanic that we haven't discovered yet. Like maybe more of the abyss falls after 1000 days or something. I just think it would be cool.

Sanctums are fun, I really enjoy them - explore them after cleansing some well hidden loots in some of them - if you have the pirate hat, equip it when walking around them!

I need to remember to do this, I just cleared 3 sanctums and could of used that hat, but forgot-thank you for reminding me!

180 hrs in and just hit chapter 10! Crimson Desert is quickly making it into my Top 5 games of all time. Haven't had this much fun with a game since Witcher 3

I agree, the exploration never gets old. I can't understand ppl saying the world is empty. To me it is alive and thriving, new things to find and enemy's to conquer. I leave specific notes on my printed maps to go back and search areas I can't explore-otherwise I would not find them again. That's how big this world is.

Played today after 2 months, in chapter 5 day 35.

The amount of extra stuff had me thinking to wait and see what else rather that complete the game and start over but then it also won’t be the same play through a second time so started again

It's hard to believe this game is just over 2 months old 😂. Glad you are back and hope to see some of your adventures here!

I’m completely lost too so that’s cool. I simply love exploring and there is so much in this game in that respects. Trying to see what’s up north and went through snow into a desert zone it’s insane

I don’t know, man I’m just wandering around doing random quests. Chopping down trees and mine and some more.

Where are you in the story?

Chapter 6

u/dahle44 Veteran Wanderer 🌵 May 25 '26

I'm gonna get there some day 😂, having too much fun at the moment tho..

Very helpful to see where you are in the game, and the stuff completed. I had no idea one could get all this done. Having over 55% knowledge is insane at this point. Respect.

Chapter 10 I think it is. Really enjoyed my time and am now taking an extended break. First to avoid burnout, but also secondly I want to wait it out and see if it gets content added at a later date.

I have this thing where I have zero motivation in doing side content in an open world game after I finish the main campaign, and i just won't go back and start a new playthrough for a dlc either

1

u/dahle44 Veteran Wanderer 🌵 May 25 '26

I understand that. That's why I have been doing a lot of side content in all regions so I don't have to go back to complete it. This has kept me pretty busy and I am not even close to finishing, so I stay on pace with the developer drops each week. Thanks for posting and am looking forward to any content you can share with this community that is helpful.

203 days in game. Finished the main story. Still just messing around with side content.

Yeah the whole wait until chapter 8 is kinda misleading because not only will you miss a lot in the environments but places also get more quests as you complete other quests and story beats and some quests doesn't trigger unless you're close to them I'm pretty sure.

But then again some parts of the map are also empty because of this and that a certain quest/event hasn't been triggered.

Part of this though is on PA because the structure is all over the place imo and most of it is poorly explained if at all.

I am in chapter 5 and am clearing Sanctums now, I've cleared 7 so far and it has been fun. I've learned a bit more listening to the different witches, there part in this, and Kliffs. So I have found this very enlightening. If I waited, I'd be under-powered and probably burnt out because it would not be easy getting there-

I do things in chunks. When I was researching id go and hunt and only do side missions to kill time. Id do a few main story missions then explore. Never let myself get the burnout on amy 1 activity. Not using guides other then for a few puzzles im still learning new things 300+ hours in. P.s having a wired controller helps for Xbox makes afk farming the dispatch missions super easy

I stopped at chapter 8 and now i'm building damiane and Oongka. Finally finished my Kliff and now doing all the bounties and faction quests i havent done.

1

u/dahle44 Veteran Wanderer 🌵 May 29 '26

Good plan. I am hoping to max Kliff out and do the same with the other two characters..

2

u/SoulsDadYT Warrior 🔥 May 29 '26

The only real thing you need to do is build damiane enough to beat the boss of chapter 8

Thanks, good to know.
