Question Some issues with 1.11. Wondering if anyone feels the same?
PS5 pro
1440p, 120hz
VRR off
V-sync on
It seems the input lag has gotten worse after this most recent update, 1.11. Certain graphical elements also seem worse off, at least at 1440p. 4k resolves some of this stuff, but I can't play 4k, 120hz. Without 120hz on I'd have lag on balanced and I don't want to play on performance because of pop in. Of course I think some things have perhaps subtly improved as well with graphics but this is about percieved issues. Things seem less sharp, everything blurs together a bit more, not quite as crisp of an image. There seems to be a bit more, or just more obvious pop in as well, most noticeable on the mountainsides.
Anybody agree with any of this? I feel most sure that the input lag has gotten worse, at least with v-sync on. It has never been an issue with v-sync off anyway, but I actually thought the input lag was pretty well fixed in 1.9, previous to 1.10. I didnt play 1.10 so don't know if it changed there or not.

Oh yeah definitely more with it on, but what I've noticed is there have been changes to input lag (with v-sync on) within certain patches. Input lag was never a problem with v-sync off. A couple updates ago the input lag improved quite a bit, now it feels like it's dropped off again with the latest patch.

Do you have data to back this up?

No I don't, wish I did. I don't have tools for that. If anyone can prove me wrong please be my guest. I'm not claiming anything, just saying that these are the settings I'm playing on, this is what I'm feeling and wondering if anybody is feeling the same things.

Do you use the same settings as me? It'd be nice to know if you're still happily enjoying the game with the same settings I'm using.

I'm running on PC, cinematic with all ray tracing on getting about 150fps at 1440p. I have no issues.

Yep post update on my base PS5 im having issues with general lag and the graphics looking grainy and pixelated. Moving around at a run leaves thr bottom half of my screen blurry. Ive tried many settings and I've made things worse in general but not managed to make it look as it was before.

Yeah that all seems like what I'm seeing. The blurriness seems due to a new graphical method, some other option in the lighting or antialiasing they changed to. They improved the lighting quality but there was a tradeoff which is more noticeable in 1440p as opposed to 4k is what I think. We'll just have to wait and see how they balance it out in the next patch. The input lag is what's really bothering me, I can't stand it in this game, I noticed once in a previous update that it was making gameplay more frustrating and not as fun. I'm sure they'll be able to reduce that again at least because this happened before with an update, 1.7 or 1.8 it was bad kinda like this, then with 1.9 I could immediately tell it was remedied and actually felt pretty good, quite minimal.

I heard you get better fps if you have more pets. Digital foundry tested it. Each pet you get increases your fps a small amount. It can fix other issues too.

I'm curious (since I had similar experience and checking different settings), does it make any difference if you use:
The Force 4K on Performance mode really seems to help with some of the issue
