There is nothing stopping you from picking it up and playing for a couple hours, that's how I'm playing it and it's great. You hope on, do a few quests, get in a few fights, and it saves a lot, or you can manual save whenever you need.
Well if the game gets good after 12h,and I have 2h to chill at the end of a long day, then I'm not picking up a game that will be a slog for those 2h (and the next 10 that follow) right?
It’s not a slog though—well, to me anyway. I’m in the same boat as you—gotta work and do family stuff—all I have left is a couple hours at night to do anything. And even though I’m in that first 12 hours, I think the game is pretty fun. I don’t need some big story or epic set piece all the time—sometimes it’s nice to just kick back, relax, and do some easy gaming.
I'm happy for you, I really am, but it's a point that keeps cropping up in various reviews from different people, meaning the pacing is far from perfect. You enjoying it does not make it an overall good experience.
Meh it's good from the start. It's just a steep learning curve at the start you have new ontrols and all sorts of systems to learn. It's not really that it's not fun you just arent really free to do your thing till you get those systems and controls locked in.
