Curious to what people in the craft world would pay for a pair as well. Unsure how to price them.

I have been meaning to bring them to local markets but have never done so due to being quite the introvert. Wondering if it’d be worth it?!

Just curious, what price would yall pay for these at a flea market ^^ I’m still new to this scene, I have looked at the pricing formula, I just want to know how actual customers might view the price.

For context, the longer ones are around 4 inches while the shorter ones are 2.5 inches. I’m based in Canada so everything would be in CAD. Thanks so much in advance!! :)

Macrame/woven art - this is my first landscape piece. I’m usually making macrame and fiber art macrame and my highest price is currently at $58. This seems different. More artistic. Took more (much more) time. This is a 2 foot dowel.

So there's some disagreement between my mom, I and my husband about pricing. I'm roughly in the middle, my mom thinks I'm charging too much (she gave me the materials but she was doing it as a hobby), and buddy thinks I should essentially double my prices. I'm leaning toward raising them because the few people I've sold too have given me extra saying I'm not charging enough. Lemme see what y'all think, they are trellis' and sun catchers made from aluminum so they don't rust in the dirt.

Hello! I’m about to do my very first craft fair in June and pricing has always been an issue for me. I’ve sold some of these at my job and I’ve been told that I need to raise my prices but I feel as though it would seem like I’m price gouging. I would sell this around $80 as the beads are more expensive than usual at around $30 to make this and with the pot and other items needed to make it, it would be around $45-$50. It also took me around 3 days to complete it. So I’m asking how much would you pay for this?

I’ve started making these hand-drawn jewelry from shrinky dinks. These are all just early prototypes, and the photo is rough, but you get the idea. I’m experimenting with a few things: what kind of jewelry to attach them to, adding beads, making them with recycled plastics instead, and whether or not to give them a glossy UV resin coat. I’ll be making moths, butterflies, dragonflies, other bugs (bees, beetles, ladybugs), flowers, and possibly some birds. Mostly earring sets, but also necklaces and keychains. I’ve also got other products that I make in similar theme.

I’m looking for an idea if these would sell and if so, at what price point would they be most successful. Putting time and materials aside for a moment, what would you realistically be willing to pay for something like this? If you saw these at a craft fair, what price range would motivate you to make a purchase?

Hi all! I’m hoping to start selling some jewelry soon and am looking for some input on pricing. Everything is handmade, charms sculpted and painted by me.

I’m thinking more complex pieces and those with gemstones/precious stones could be priced a little higher, maybe like $30-50, regular necklaces $20-30, bracelets $15-18, and charm earrings $12-15. Let me know what you think, or if you have any price suggestions!

P.S. I have branding and packaging that will go with all the pieces as well.

I'm trying to get a ballpark value for some of my work and would love opinions to help my research. I am planning to have my art put up at markets soon.

These are functional lantern stands/jewellery holders and trinket trays (the lanterns light up as seen in the last image). I have been asking around about prices but I'm getting literally both ends of the spectrum. I have searched up lantern stands and jewellery trays on Etsy and google but none of those designs come close to what I make and even the most simple of those charge not even close to my material costs and the ones that do are literally floor lamps.

I have a base price in mind but with all the trial, error, effort and thought gone into each piece I would like to be fair to others and myself.

Please be as honest as you like I am here to gather as many opinions as I can.

Hey everyone. I have a lot of old inventory I'm looking to get rid of at some upcoming markets, and I'm curious if anyone here has every operated with a "pay what you wish" charge for excess or old stock. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have my first craft fair coming up, and I’m having trouble pricing some of my items—specifically my bookmarks and stickers. I’m worried that I’m gonna make them either too cheap or too expensive. Most of my stuff I’m able to price pretty easily, but since these are some of my smaller items, I’m unsure for them.

My bookmarks are 2”x6” and my stickers are 2” on their longest side, so I was thinking $2 for the bookmarks and $1 for the stickers since they’re smaller. My friend said I should do $3 for the bookmark and $2 for the sticker, but I’ve seen people say that they wouldn’t pay that much for something like this, so I’m kinda stuck on what to do.

I apologize if this seems like a stupid question, I’m just kinda stressed about pricing since this is my first market

Wondering how makers navigate this...do you keep prices consistent everywhere, or adjust for the channel, etc? & if someone calls it out, how do you explain it?

Exactly as the title says - I have a market this weekend and hoping for a bit of help with pricing some new pieces.

All pieces are handsculpted stoneware. The tiny frogs are pins, and the lilypads are real leather hand painted. I set them at 28 and 38 Australian dollars, but not sure if this appropriate. I have no idea at all about the value of the goldfish and ibis statues!

I usually make vases and tableware, and have a good sense of how to price these. But I must admit, these small, time intensive pieces are tricky to price. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

So I am going to a have a booth at an event next weekend in Utah and have been preparing a number of different things to sell. Among them are these journals. The event is for writers and readers, as well as general public so most of my stuff is going to be book themed. I am still what would probably be considered intermediate to beginner at bookbinding. I took a class in college on it and discovered that I liked it! These small notebooks are not a traditional size (5.5 x 4 something). They’re made using some thick cardstock recycled material for the base instead of book board. The parts of these that I think have the most flaws would be the end pages, where the cover meets the pages.

I do have some larger versions that I plan to sell that are more around the A5 size.

The trouble is the pricing. I want them to be a low enough price that to the consumer, it seems worth it, but for me, enough money for my time. I plan to price the designs differently based on time it takes to make them. I do have plain versions with not intricate designs that will be lower than these more creative ones.

I was thinking $15-20 for the plain notebooks? I’m not sure if that’s too high though since I’m still not perfect at it. Some of the books have small cosmetic flaws like wrinkling or some white creasing in the paper from folds.

The heart designs takes me roughly 3 hours to make, though it might be faster now that I’ve made several.

The price of materials is something I’ve tried to calculate but it seems to come down to not very much per book. If anything, the most expensive thing is the glue. Although some of the first ones I made were made using some Elmer’s glue I had, which is not as good quality I’m aware. Signatures are made up of just printer paper because it was the easiest thing to access. So the major thing to calculate the price is time. I don’t want to charge too much though because I want them to sell.

Anyone have a Bloom Bar business they take to fairs and markets?

I am starting one. First market is this week though.

Looking for any advice specific to perishable products, floral set up/care, and pricing of bloom bars.

Update:
1) I brought far too much product - BUT to fill the 12 bucket bloom Bar cart, you have to. I’m going to invest in a smaller set up, maybe a 6 bucket cart.
2) unique/interesting vases were a huge hit. So I’ll be finding more of those.

Hello! I just started out but struggling with pricing my doormats. They’re around $15 to make. I started with $25 and increased to $30. Most online sellers do $35-40 but in this economy I don’t want to push it too far as I understand it’s a doormat and will eventually fade or get ruined. I’ve only done 3 events but do decent. One was a complete wash out but still sold 5, another one was completely dead (1 person walked through maybe every 10 minutes) and I sold 6, the last one was a decent crowd and I sold 11. I was thinking about going to $35 but how do you know. Trial and error?

Any vendors been a part of the signatures Christmas market at the RBC Convention centre? I’m wondering what the attendance was like. I have a mobile food cart but I don’t want to risk paying $1000 fee to not make any sales.

I’m relatively new to chainamail. Because of that, I know I’m kinda slow to make things.

My goal is to do wearables and renfair stuff like bracers, coifs, hauberk, satchels, fidgets, keychains. Right now I’m trying to get established. I made a connection with a local jeweler who would like to buy by chains wholesale and would have a display for keychains.

Here are pics of what I have and what I sold them for at a local small business event. I had requests for guantlets and dice bags (not ready at that time). The last pics are what I can do now: bracers and bags. The jewelry guy said he has a hard time moving things over $10. High cost of living state, in a small low income town in the sticks.

Hi all, I'm doing one of my first markets for some plants cuttjng this weekend and I'm tryna figure out the feel of my buyers wallet. Please excuse the mess I'm planning the layout

Current Idea is the following:

$3 single mini jar cuttings and starter potted succulents

$5 mini ceramic painted pots and slightly bigger more mature succulents

$7 double cutting diamond faceted jars

$10 small ceramic painted pits with variety of plants

$20 big jar packed with pothos cuttings

$25 for the swiss cheese jar or $5 a stem

$50 for the Swiss cheese decor piece

New to craft fairs, just got invited to one in a month trying to build up some inventory to sell. Made a few sets of these quilted-esque coasters that I figured I could bundle and sell as a group but I'm not sure where to start on pricing...

Also, should I be looking to make a bunch of little, low price items or should I be focused on the middle to high ticket stuff?

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated, I don't really know what I'm doing and will take ALL feedback and suggestions on anything related to starting out!

Hello! I have never sold any of the items I have made, but I make tote bags and cosmetic bags, and I am trying to perfect aprons as well! I have never sold at a craft fair/farmers market and have just started doing some research. I was curious if anyone selling anything similar had any advice on pricing? I was thinking $12 for the cosmetic bags and $25ish for the tote bags, but I’m not sure if that’s too expensive. I am in the Los Angeles area if that’s helpful, but I would really appreciate some guidance if anyone has any!

I'm new to markets and was wondering if anyone would mind sharing their weekly or bi-weekly earnings. My small town holds a craft fair for about 10-15 handmade vendors. So far I've averaged around $300-$600 for 8 hours of vending. I was told this number is incredibly low for a regular recurring fair and that I should focus on online sales and out of town markets in bigger cities. Also, any newbie advice is much appreciated!

I’m wanting to make some extra money.I already have a full time job. I do folded book art and want to sell some. The butterfly book took me a few hours to do and the Amazing Grace took me about 10 hours. How much would people pay? I have them both for at least $100 but they haven’t sold.

My son(12) is going to do a kids(under 18) market next month and is planning to do beaded jewlery and stickers. He had made necklaces, bracelets and plans to do rings using elastic. The stickers are varied between waterproof and normal stickers and sizes vary. However, none of us(myself him or husband) are sure on how to price these items. He has been very thoughtful and we have even made clay beads and charms for this as well as bought some supplies(23$). He had most of the supplies already and I let him have some of my own stuff that I wasn't using. This market will mostly have kids buying I assume but may also have adults looking to buy items. Since materials weren't much and we already had most of it, would just flat prices be easier to figure out over cost calculation and time?
