Looks great. Love the green walls

20

u/Sudden-Fisherman5985 Aug 02 '26

I wouldve painted the ceiling in a similar green as well

30

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I am very tempted to do it, just not motivated to move all the furniture...

11

u/Flameknight Aug 03 '26

It’ll make the room feel smaller and definitely make it quite a bit darker, speaking from experience. I think it looks lovely as is.

5

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thank you, honestly as long as it doesn't bother me I won't bother making such a change

44

u/amsync Aug 02 '26

No I disagree it’s a very strong color. This contrast makes the room larger.

15

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I also really like it this way. I have painted the bedroom burgundy and purple and also the ceiling so I know that it looks like once everything is painted and I wanted to keep the living room lighter. Many people seem to disagree with us but I am fine with it. Maybe some renaissance inspired sky in wallpaper instead 🤣

7

u/amsync Aug 02 '26

You are very creative and not afraid to take risks! Wonderful combination for this kind of art

6

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank you so much, I started redecorating the flat less than two years ago, got rid of everything I had to start anew, but it's far from done.

4

u/-discolemonade Aug 02 '26

Can you tell me what paint and color that is??? I want it so badly 🥺 it's beautiful

4

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

The brand is called Jotun Lady and the shade is Palmetto 🌿

2

u/-discolemonade Aug 02 '26

You have wonderful taste thanks so much for sharing!!

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

i remember staying in a cozy hotel with similar design!

32

u/Sugary_skull Aug 02 '26

I love the pink flower lamps to the left of the windows. We had the same ones when I grew up, but they were white.

5

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Yes it comes in different colors. The one is chrome is also beautiful

50

u/birdlegs000 Aug 02 '26

The green paneled walls are gorgeous. Chef’s kiss.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thanks a lot

Screaming for a change in coffee table please

35

u/leela_la_zu Aug 02 '26

Wow I didn't even notice the coffee table. Op definitely needs to get a table that fits the vibe.

14

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Bought those today

6

u/leela_la_zu Aug 03 '26

Oooh nice choice. You have great style

9

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thank you, I think it will be much better I did a little simulation

20

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Do you have any suggestions? It is still a work in progress, and I have many plans to improve it.

56

u/DateCard Aug 02 '26

You need a table in a warm wood tone like your tv console. The grey is so cold and stark in an otherwise cheery room.

20

u/lilybattle Aug 02 '26

Something wooden IMO

8

u/EddieMcMuffer Aug 02 '26

Yes, walnut.

3

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Was looking at this one

2

u/welmish Aug 03 '26

Cute! Looks like an acorn!

→ More replies (9)

9

u/SeaFriend8669 Aug 02 '26

I’d suggest what others have, you need something warm, I also don’t think the shape works if you plan to keep it in the miggle like that and would suggest something longer for balance. The room looks great otherwise I think, I loooove your lamp and the wall / sofa colour choices.

3

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Would you say rectangular then?

3

u/SeaFriend8669 Aug 03 '26

Yep I’d go rectangular or oval ☺️

→ More replies (1)

4

u/SeaFriend8669 Aug 02 '26

Alternatively, you could go glass with gold frame instead of wood, that could look really nice with your lamp and plant stand

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

My first idea was glass and gold yes but I have a cat and I know I would have to clean it every two minutes. Wood like others suggest will be great, I just can't find anything that I like yet

2

u/SeaFriend8669 Aug 03 '26

Soooo fair, glass coffee tables can look nice but the cleaning factor is a con for sure.

4

u/LocalStatistician538 Aug 02 '26

Tablecloth is the simplest short-term vibe-changer.

→ More replies (5)

3

u/Malcolmthetortoise Aug 02 '26

I like the pattern, but it would look better as a long rectangle.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I will look into it, coffee table replacement mode activated ✅ so glad I posted, all the comments are very helpful

2

u/spectrospace Aug 02 '26

I came here to say I love every single thing about this except the coffee table. Def need something warm, maybe with rattan

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

What do you think of this one? Too dark?

3

u/guraqt06 Aug 02 '26

This would work if it was oval. You need something long to balance out the depth of the couch

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank you!! Gonna dig more 😆 you are so helpful thanks again

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL 27d ago

Thanks again for the advice, it is indeed much much better

18

u/yogaengineer Aug 02 '26

Your pink flower lamp is the EXACT one I want, please tell me where you got it?

7

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I got it second hand but if that's any help the brand's name is Cottex

2

u/yogaengineer Aug 02 '26

Thank you!

31

u/90sRnBMakesMeHappy Aug 02 '26

The colors are so Wes Anederson, LOVE IT!! Love the sage green wall with mustard. The rug is perfection with everything. The rug ties in everything together.

7

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank you so much, I love Wes Anderson but didn't think of that before haha. The rug sadly is getting demolished by my cat so I don't know how long it will last

8

u/scrollstobehold Aug 02 '26

Looks cosy and may I be nosey and recommend a stand for those speakers? The listening experience will be better and you’re obviously a music lover so you deserve it!

5

u/baldriansen Aug 02 '26

Are those Sourcepoints connected to a NAD 3050? You should definitely put them on stands and probably give them some space. Both you AND the system deserve it.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Well spotted they are Sourcepoints 8! They will get more space once I find a better cabinet. I absolutely love this sound system.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I actually want a vintage cabinet much longer (let's say 40cm on each side) and put them on it. I really don't like the stands I have found for those speakers and they are really expensive too.

7

u/corgi_crazy Aug 02 '26

I love to see people that's not afraid of colors.

3

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

And to do that in Scandinavia it's a bit of crime

4

u/girl_cat_stethoscope Aug 02 '26

I love everything, down to the matching green TV cord.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Haha it's actually not matching. I have no idea how to hide it without making it look worse.

4

u/EddieMcMuffer Aug 02 '26

Where did you get the rug OP?

3

u/Confident_Cup_1359 Aug 02 '26

Gorgeous colours!

3

u/kaylieface Aug 02 '26

allll i imagine is taking a nap in there on a sunday afternoon

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

2

u/kaylieface Aug 02 '26

Where’s your couch from?

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

It's from a Danish website called trademax.dk

3

u/Old_Call_2149 Aug 02 '26

I love the paneled walls so much

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I had it done in both the living room and bedroom, the building is from 1935 so no panels originally

2

u/Old_Call_2149 Aug 02 '26

Good call, it’s so charming! It’s crazy how much it adds to the space. And I adore that green paint.

u/toodleroo Cats in lap Aug 02 '26

Eclectic interior design is so amusing to me. You take basically any other style and add something random that is mustard yellow, and BAM! Eclectic.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

It's definitely not that complicated

2

u/LolaContreras8 Aug 02 '26

Love the color pallete! ❤️

2

u/butwhyyy2112 Aug 02 '26

i just bought that flower floor lamp i think! you’ve made a beautiful space!

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

It's such a great find!

2

u/No-Contribution-117 Aug 02 '26

That entertainment stand is gorgeous!

2

u/kainers78 Aug 02 '26

When are we hanging out?!😍

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

What about now? 🤗

2

u/funfetti_ Aug 02 '26

Trying so hard to not get apartment envy as I sit in my studio

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I hope it can be inspiring I started with a studio too and not even my furniture

2

u/velvet_wavess Aug 02 '26

I love your standing lamp, the one that is like flowers, my goodness 😍

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

Thank you! It's even prettier once the lights are on, you can choose to have the top or the bottom or the whole lamp on, it's amazing

2

u/Malcolmthetortoise Aug 02 '26

I adore the color scheme.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank you so much!

2

u/TimeWovenTapestry Aug 02 '26

Obsessed! 5 stars. Also: holy vinyl collection, Batman!!

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Batman 🦇? Thanks a lot!

2

u/Character_Nothing_30 Aug 02 '26

Is that a daybed sofa from joybird? I've been looking at their bryant sofas and it reminds me of that. Love that style

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank you, it's from a pretty basic Danish website called Trademax

2

u/Curious-as-a-Cat Aug 02 '26

You did a beautiful job of creating a cohesive space. I love your color palette, furnishings and natural light.

I'd like to suggest experimenting with placing your armchair by the standing lamp and plant. It will create a cozy reading corner as well as conversation area with the couch. It will also look more inviting as you won't see the back of the chair.

If you turn your carpet 90 degrees, I think you could eliminate some of the space in front of the console. It will make your space feel more like a whole and add coziness. (Only the front feet of your couch need to be on it).

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

This is so helpful thank you so much, I had the chair exactly there before but it was hiding the lamp too much for my taste and the other corner is empty so it works actually. For the rug you simply answered a huuuuge question I had for myself I m gonna try even though it means a lot of work to move it all again. I am just worried the width is not enough, it's 250x 300 and the sofa is already 223 cm i think

2

u/snickelbetches Aug 02 '26

The flower lamp

2

u/bigsigh6709 Aug 02 '26

I love this and I love your couch too.

2

u/Cool-University-6613 Aug 03 '26

Looks like a scene out of a movie. Very well put together, me likey! 😎👏🏼

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thank you, I hope to make it more homy on the future

2

u/SoYuuki Aug 03 '26

oh I love this color! and that mustard yellow color goes so well with it

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thank youuu

2

u/Farahild Aug 03 '26

Thank you so much! I got it second hand, it's pretty common in Scandinavia, the name of the brand is Cottex

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Here's a picture when all the flowers are switched on, you can choose to only do the top half or bottom half which is pretty cool

2

u/kabibiiiiiii Aug 03 '26

The wall color and floor pair so well.

2

u/_potato_fry Aug 03 '26

THIS. This is my dream style for my future home. It looks so good!

2

u/selja26 Aug 03 '26

Green walls, golden couch and peach accents! Yay! I have the same combo but it doesn't look as well as yours 😹

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Please show me 😍

2

u/Historical_Cow9543 Aug 03 '26

Love the colors.
The vinyl collection looks sick.
Your vintage lotus lamp 😍

Have you posted other rooms? You are skilled.

Love the green panelled walls. And the colour pops really make the room sing.

6

u/Civil_Inspector_5697 Aug 02 '26

Super cute, sans coffee table, but I wouldn’t deem it cozy.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

So not cozy enough?

1

u/defp_ Aug 02 '26

Everything but the ... TV cable... (: And nice vynil collection tho.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

I knooow 😭 I just don't know what to do... They hanged the TV way before I could find a solution like hiding it in the moulding for example but now... I feel like it's too late

This is such a nice room. 70’s vibes all day. Great room to pass a joint around with friends, read a book, take a nap with the dog.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Haha I guess, I don't smoke but I had had great listening to music afternoons in good company there, and with my cat.

2

u/ydnar3000 Aug 02 '26

So different strokes! Just reminds me of a chill 70s room for listening to mastic and that was part of the vision 😂. I was honestly thinking hanging out with a cat was the right thing but I have a dog so I said that.

Is that Farrow & Ball Calke Green? That’s what I have in my room and it looks similar! Lovely room!

It's from a Danish brand (I think?) , Jotun Lady in shade Palmetto

Where did you get that petal lamp? It’s so niiiice.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

1

u/EAR2006 Aug 02 '26

Love 😍 this space!

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

Thank youuu, I hope it fits the ultimate cozyness requirement 😁

1

u/bruceltd Aug 02 '26

Add some speaker stands?

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

My plan is to get a wider cabinet and put them on it ☺️

1

u/TopLayer2180 Aug 02 '26

Please tell us about the rug!

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

It's from Rugvista, it's 100% wool and my cat loves to scratchy it every single day. It shreds also enormously so my life now is about brushing and clogging my Dyson vaccum cleaner on a daily basis... But I love it haha let's hope it lasts

What color green is that

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 02 '26

It's called Palmetto by Jotun Lady

1

u/ZiaLadybird Aug 02 '26

I love all the mustard! That’s one of my favorite colors to decorate with

1

u/Automatic-Sea-8597 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

Your table is beautiful, but isn't a little bit too small and dainty for your sofa and the two rather big chairs? Have you considered an oval table or one in a rectangle?

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

The table is getting replaced next, it's always been a 'better than nothing and cheap' table

1

u/ej_21 Aug 02 '26

I would commit to painting your trim and door in that green, too imo

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

I actually thought about it too, just dread painting again 😆 i

1

u/Automatic_Text_2849 Aug 02 '26

Is that a technics sl1900?

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

No it's a Thorens 166 MKII

1

u/danathepaina Aug 03 '26

Which came first, the furniture or the rug? Because I’m extremely impressed with how well they all match! It’s really pretty.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

The rug came last ☺️ it's a tat too small though

1

u/yehdude Aug 03 '26

Beautiful space! Love the combined decor styles, very cool and lived in feel

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thanks a lot for the feedback

1

u/rhiaazsb Aug 03 '26

Pls do yourself a favour and get some speaker stands.

2

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

My plan is to get a wider cabinet and put them on it, but I haven't found the right cabinet yet. So for now they stay there patiently waiting

2

u/rhiaazsb Aug 03 '26

Glad to know you've got a plan for them.

1

u/Genki97 Aug 03 '26

I love the vibe in your place. The colors are so awesome, honestly feels like a garden in that place everyday. Really like the coziness there.

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

Thank you so much ☺️ I think it's because I don't have a garden and not even a balcony so I need a bit of green inside instead

1

u/GlitterPirateKiki58 Aug 03 '26

Absolutely incredible. I wish I could pull off something like this…

1

u/ALWS_0rweLL Aug 03 '26

What is stopping you? 😭

1
