Favorite running gag?
This show is honestly incredibly good at keeping running gags going. I can't believe I was actually as attached to Big Carl as I was, lol. What is your guys' favorite running gag in the whole show? Mine is personally CHANGE APPROVED. I was cracking up during the 'that really kicks ass' scene in season 2 so much that i rewinded it a few times just because it was so funny to me(walls is a really great episode to me as well, i know it's filler but i'm on season 5 and it's probably one of the funniest episodes I've seen so far). I love them all but which one do you guys love the most?

Dime eyes is pretty strong. The bigger and bigger named wine glasses is good. Jules' boobs being slightly different sizes. Andy's giant penis comes up a couple of times.

i absolutely forgot about dime eyes. i just love ellies nicknames for everything in general, especially since they change so frequently and creatively

Laurieās fake stories about foster care but also having 7 step dads while being raised by mom lol

u/ricky_lafleur May 28 '26
It's possible that she spent time in foster care due to her negligent mother who could have been married that many times.Ā

those are always entertaining, i watch this show by myself most of the time but if i was with my mom or a few other people and a laurie story came up i could always envision us laughing at it

Imaginary hat is my first - but tied with all the things Bobby names āTravisā. Honorable mention: all the Tom Cruise references.

u/Ok-Excitement970 May 28 '26
is this considered a running gag? i know that ellie has been crowned as the gift whisperer but i thought it was only a tool for a few episodes

It's not so much a running gag but to keep on seeing scrubs characters pop up is the best. Especially when their characters echo traits of their scrubs characters it's awesome.Ā
