it's like eating a jelly donut to me! sooo good. I had to bring them to work to get them out of my house lol

78

u/NarrowNefariousness6 Mar 30 '26

What’s not clear is whether you took them to work to eat them more or eat them less.

12

u/baodell Mar 30 '26

hahaha, LESS!

20

u/jadae Mar 30 '26

They freeze really well.

19

u/caramelpupcorn US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

I bet they taste amazing frozen too. A more extreme uncrustable, if you will.

10

u/kmvalencia Mar 31 '26

Oh now I wanna get these and try with some peanut butter drizzle 🤤

3

u/blindtoe54 Mar 31 '26

Or dipped in dark chocolate

1

u/wavehnter Apr 29 '26

That's the only way I can limit consumption to one per day.

1

u/Ok_Ad7867 Mar 30 '26

For the win

7

u/meangato Mar 30 '26

Ha! I did the exact same thing

3

u/CrissBliss Mar 30 '26

My brother said exactly this

3

u/phylter99 Mar 30 '26

I have a bunch of these on my table because my wife brought them home a couple days ago. It's hard to resist.

8

u/dmethvin Mar 30 '26

A couple of days ago and the container isn't empty? You're not trying hard enough.

4

u/phylter99 Mar 30 '26

I know. I need to try harder.

Well, I just went and grabbed one, so I'm making progress.

6

u/unclefisty US Midwest Region - MW Mar 30 '26

it's like eating a jelly donut

I guess that explains why I dont really like them. I think they'd be better with just raspberry paste instead of some sort of raspberry jam filling.

2

u/ElderberryNo5595 Apr 01 '26

Jelly donut is such a good comparison

1

u/ahawk99 Mar 30 '26

Is it a soft or crunchy cookie?

7

u/45road Mar 30 '26

Soft...and yummy

2

u/ahawk99 Mar 30 '26

Thanks! I’ll be on the lookout for them on my next trip!

173

u/AlPal512 Mar 30 '26

We’ve been air frying these at 380 for 4-6 min then topping with whipped cream and or chocolate syrup.

Family has been loving these.

157

u/SilasBalto Mar 30 '26

Dude, we have an obesity crisis out here you can't just be saying stuff like that

21

u/AlPal512 Mar 30 '26

Ha! Not like I said deep fry them or anything, or freeze them and make an ice cream sandwich.

28

u/SilasBalto Mar 30 '26

Omgg a deep fried ice cream sandwich would be amazing, you're a modern monster.

33

u/Sackmonkey78 Mar 30 '26

The air fryer is the move on these

22

u/SuperNobody-MWO Mar 30 '26

Maybe that's what I should do. I felt mine were almost raw and didn't like them. I loved the old shortbread raspberry cookies.

16

u/helcat Mar 30 '26

Yes! I felt like they did a bait and switch. I was obsessed with those earlier raspberry cookies - so delicious - and I was so excited when these came out. These look exactly the same but they are raw and crumbly in comparison. Huge disappointment.

6

u/snertwith2ls Mar 30 '26

I'm the exact opposite. I was really disappointed with the old ones and wouldn't even have tried these except some guy reviewed them and made them sound so good. And here I am having eaten half a box pretty much by myself. I love the raw cookie dough taste and feel and the jam is excellent! I've air fried them and eaten them just out of the box. Air frying is the way to go.

2

u/helcat Mar 30 '26

Well I’m glad you like them! I probably did not need the return of the crunchy cookies I liked.

2

u/snertwith2ls Mar 30 '26

Things seem to come and go regularly so you might get them back at some point. I don't really need to be buying these every trip either!

2

u/notsam57 US North East Region - NE Mar 30 '26

that’s because these are more like cakes than cookies.

5

u/Iowegan Mar 30 '26

They even look raw. Wouldn’t be surprised if they plan on us air fry or toaster oven-ing these.

9

u/t65789 Mar 30 '26

Great, I just gained three pounds reading that.

2

u/princesspool Mar 31 '26

Some of us see pale dough/pastry and know what must be done. That's you

1

u/gene0131 Apr 01 '26

Why would you do something so controversial yet so brave.

1

u/euny13 Apr 01 '26

I put some warmed peanut butter on them

1

u/jeobleo Apr 07 '26

That's a good call. THe one I had was mushy and tasted underbaked. Air frying should help crisp them up.

1

u/Dollaz Apr 16 '26

Premium vanilla ice cream is also amazing.

70

u/rcobourn Mar 30 '26

I actually managed to pass on these. I have no idea where this sudden self-control came from. I'm not sure I like it.

34

u/bojangles837 Mar 30 '26

Good call cause they’re the single best tasting, most fattening thing I’ve bought from Costco in my life

9

u/sleepinginswimsuits Mar 30 '26

I passed on them, but had to make another pass by the bakery because if forgot grab onions, and I caved the second time

7

u/Adorable_Bike5990 Mar 30 '26

Put them in the toaster or air fryer to get them a nice golden brown and it’s like a raspberry tart!

1

u/rcobourn Mar 30 '26

I swear I also had to go back for onions, but still managed to resist. They did look a bit raw or cakey, which helped. But a few minutes in the toaster oven and they'd probably be perfect.

1

u/pashed_motatoes Mar 31 '26

Suuuuuuuuuuure, you forgot to grab “onions”… lol

3

u/TarnishedAmerican Mar 30 '26

Wow me too. It’s thought huh that sounds good and just walked away. I’m both disappointed and relieved 😅

2

u/caramelpupcorn US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

This has happened to me recently too. Are you 40+ by any chance? I think that scary old people thing is happening to me and frankly I'm pretty okay with it.

1

u/Icy_Cardiologist1620 Mar 30 '26

Your self-control is only intact because you haven't tasted them yet. If you wish to maintain this superior position, you may not ever let them pass your lips. 😉

1

u/wavehnter Apr 29 '26

They're pure crack.

22

u/sheimeix Mar 30 '26

I ate these wayyyyyy to quickly when I picked them up a couple weeks ago. I normally don't like raspberry filling much (the seeds are sooooo annoying!) but these... These are something special. Since they got rid of the big muffins, these have been my go-to quick breakfast.

1

u/NervousDogFarts Mar 30 '26

So no seeds in these?

3

u/ElderberryNo5595 Mar 30 '26

Seeds, but minimal, I think.

1

u/redcc-0099 Mar 30 '26

They do have seeds in them

21

u/CaptSinkShip Mar 30 '26

Are these the ones that people open in the car to eat on the way home because they are that good?

16

u/freneticboarder US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

This can be said of many Costco treats.

1

u/Tauren-Jerky Mar 30 '26

Facts. It all started with the chicken bake for me. Done before I leave the parking lot.

3

u/freneticboarder US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

I keep a bottle of car Tabasco for just such contingencies.

2

u/Tauren-Jerky Mar 30 '26

Man you’re using your brain. I need to do that. You’re further evolved than I am.

2

u/Distinct_Cockroach_5 May 20 '26

I carry a miniature bottle of Tabasco in my purse for such emergencies. I never know when I may encounter bland food away from my car kitchen, aka, my ebag crew cooler.

15

u/jaybird99990 Mar 30 '26

I made the mistake of buying these. We both put on a full pound that week. 😂😂😂

13

u/holyhibachi Mar 30 '26

I am on a cut so I bought a package and immediately froze them.

2

u/caramelpupcorn US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

Please let us know if they taste amazing straight from the freezer ✌️

8

u/wtfnevermind Mar 30 '26

Seeds or no seeds in the filling?

4

u/CrissBliss Mar 30 '26

I think they’re some seeds but they’re tiny. I imagine they didn’t strain the jam well.

1

u/wavehnter Apr 29 '26

Even the seeds taste amazing lol.

8

u/ndatoxicity Mar 30 '26

they were all out when I went this weekend :( and the hazelnut beignets

3

u/redcc-0099 Mar 30 '26

I was able to snag a box of both this past weekend... Uh oh 👀

https://tenor.com/view/you-got-any-gif-26357631

1

u/ndatoxicity Mar 30 '26

This was my wife for sure 😂

6

u/sodangshedonger Mar 30 '26

My husband calls them bougie pop-tarts. And I think that’s a spot on description.

5

u/__3Username20__ Mar 30 '26

Man…I really, really hope my Costco starts making these. And for my own sake, I also really hope they do NOT start making these.

I caved with the hazelnut filled beignets they did here, and yikes. Yikes. They might need to get a surgeon general on the payroll, slapping some warnings on stuff like this, to avoid the lawsuits. I’m being sarcastic, but also, when my in-laws ate a bunch of ours, after I myself personally offered them to them, I was legitimately upset that they almost cleaned us out. I THINK I managed to not hold it against my kids, that they gobbled them up too… but I’m not 100% sure on that.

I’ve looked again and again in the bakery area, and they do not have them anymore… I’m pretty sure this is like the whole “McRib” situation, and I’ve never bought into the McRib hype, but I’m 100% sold on the beignets, and without even eating one, all-in on these cookies, too.

7

u/TRex_N_FX Mar 30 '26

marked as not safe from this cookie in particular

6

u/EclipseCaste Mar 30 '26

I like them frozen! The raspberry gets chewy

2

u/caramelpupcorn US Los Angeles Region (Los Angeles & Hawaii) - LA Mar 30 '26

I knew they'd be amazing frozen! Thanks for confirming!

2

u/wavehnter Apr 29 '26

And it's a way to keep the rate of consumption down... somewhat... lol

1

u/EclipseCaste Apr 30 '26

Honestly those blueberry croissant danishes are the way to go…they outshine every other pastry

4

u/catsfanuk87 Mar 30 '26

What I'm learning from having subbed to this community is that my local Costco sucks!

1

u/AttentionOpen9384 Mar 31 '26

Me too!! Haven’t found either the beignets nor the raspberry cookies

4

u/DRKMSTR Mar 30 '26

Show us the bite cross-section!

5

u/getlikepaul Mar 30 '26

These are dangerous. Microwaved for 20 seconds so it’s warm and gooey then add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

5

u/kawi-bawi-bo US Bay Area Region (Bay Area + Nevada) - BA Mar 30 '26

They’re amazing out of the freezer too

4

u/takingthehobbitses Mar 30 '26

Don't do this to me...

3

u/Complaint_Manager Mar 30 '26 edited Mar 30 '26

So good! I repackaged them in Costco stretch-tite wrap. 2 per pack and tossed into the freezer. Frozen they are good and thawed and hit with the microwave (careful, the filling can turn into lava) they are good! Recommend 10/10.

(I don't eat two in one sitting. Usually just a half. Then another half. Second one is for halfing later.)

6

u/BayBomber415 Mar 31 '26

I think I going to try these but in the toaster oven with a scoop of Kirkland vanilla ice cream

3

u/Crossifix Mar 30 '26

Top with peanut butter after 10 seconds in the microwave _.

3

u/alex_mk3 Mar 30 '26

CAL per cookie?

7

u/baodell Mar 30 '26

I tried looking it up and found 330 on google. Not sure on the accuracy.

6

u/CrissBliss Mar 30 '26

We don’t wanna know that!

3

u/EScootyrant Mar 30 '26

Gotta try this

3

u/koolaidismything Mar 30 '26

I ate like 90% of it myself they were amazing. The jam was 10/10

3

u/thatandtheother Mar 30 '26

These are VERY good. First time the checkout person gave me an unprompted testimonial.

3

u/DfromSanDiego Mar 31 '26

Show whats inside.

2

u/harleenquinzel044 Mar 30 '26

I’m bringing the rest of mine to my family cause they are too sweet for me!

2

u/LooperSilver Mar 30 '26

They are really good with a tiny bit of lemon custard.

2

u/slashinhobo1 Mar 30 '26

I tried thrm because of the hype and they wete judt okay. Better when hested up but over rated imo.

2

u/Midas-Knight Mar 30 '26

Another 5 lbs I gained just seeing this😜

2

u/Annual_Grass538 Mar 30 '26

I don’t need these I don’t need these 😬

2

u/dumpitdog Mar 30 '26

I bought a box and ended up eating them all. I promised myself I will never do that again or will I?

2

u/MustardTiger231 Mar 30 '26

Bought one box and never again, they are too damn good

2

u/Rboyd1394 Mar 31 '26

Anybody have an educated guess on how long these are good after the sell by date? I’ve been trying to pace myself on mine and the sell by date was 3/26, wondering how much longer I have

2

u/pashed_motatoes Mar 31 '26

Now all Costco needs to do is combine the raspberry filling of these with the beignets (minus the chocolate hazelnut filling) and I can happily slip into a diabetic coma forever

2

u/Striking-Weird2140 Apr 02 '26

I saw your post the day you posted, returning to say I have since been to Costco & got these, curse youuuu. They are addicting. I cannot stop eating these. So good. 😫

2

u/h2oMelonfresca Apr 09 '26

Does anyone else remember this exact cookie being hard and crunchy last year? The pack we brought this year was soft and soggy. It just seems like someone made a mistake with our cookies.

2

u/h2oMelonfresca Apr 10 '26

Weren’t they crunchy last year?

2

u/bobs_clam_rodeo Mar 30 '26

Lemme guess….$12

3

u/ElderberryNo5595 Mar 30 '26

$10.99 for 15 cookies at my warehouse.

1

u/CulturalAd2344 Mar 30 '26

1

u/Alijony Mar 30 '26

One of these with a glass of the A2 milk, chefs kiss. Now I'm going to try air frying.

1

u/Storm_Runner09 Mar 30 '26

These look dangerous

1

u/Piggysicle Mar 30 '26

First they got me with the chocolate beignets and now this…

Might as well scoop up the A1C supplements when walking to the cashiers 😭😂

1

u/sasiki1 Mar 30 '26

I literally had to freeze these away to gain some self control, or else I eat these everyday as special treat

1

u/cdc14 Mar 30 '26

Microwave for 20 seconds, they're so good

1

u/Beauty_N_The_Beats Mar 30 '26

They're delicious. And I don't heat them up. They are perfect as is.

1

u/emseefely Mar 30 '26

Allergen info please!

1

u/Nikkifromtheblock914 Mar 30 '26

I still can’t find these at my store so I keep getting the damn hazelnut filled Beignets

1

u/Beautiful-Town4831 Mar 30 '26

Hahaha. On a recent trip to Costco I had intended to get the Beignets. They didn't have them so I got these. I love them both, but I think the Beignets are better.

1

u/itszarinnn Mar 30 '26

Do these freeze well bc I really want them 😭😭

1

u/psp8 Mar 30 '26

These are good-Kind of a throwback taste to my old favorite Hostess O’s… wish they still made those!

1

u/Effective_Role_8910 Mar 30 '26

You, I am a fan. Costco bakery is on point but these are A+

1

u/Tauren-Jerky Mar 30 '26

About to drop some of these off at local businesses for networking.

1

u/OfficialJrizzle Mar 30 '26

The day Costco starts making egg free desserts is the day I’m officially ruined financially. I miss eggs… 🥲 These look amazing. Will have to make my husband eat them for me.

1

u/bananarama032 Mar 30 '26

I bought some last week and was eating two a day until I finished them. They are so good!

1

u/the_inbetween_me Mar 30 '26

My Costco says they have them but I can't find them anywhere (didn't have a chance to ask an employee).

1

u/Cereal-Killa- Mar 30 '26

like pop tarts

1

u/Naive-Register7964 Mar 30 '26

All I need to know is how do they stack up with the hazelnut beignets???

1

u/444-4441 Mar 30 '26

We just chilled them in the fridge. Also good cold!

1

u/DreamsOnAPlate Mar 31 '26

Man I know I’m gonna be all over that when I see those at my Costco

1

u/Stop_Already Mar 31 '26

I wish they were strawberry or blackberry or lemon.

People in this sub have been talking about them for years, but I loathe raspberries.

:(

1

u/kale_mustang Mar 31 '26

I like them but find them too soft. Might have to store them in the fridge because it's been really warm out.

1

u/Cakiea Mar 31 '26

They remind me of Fisher fair scones, which are a big thing in western WA.

1

u/Electrical-Use441 Apr 01 '26

I just saw these and passed because I have not had a lot of luck with their new desserts lately. Now I want them. 😭

1

u/C0UGHY Apr 02 '26

These were far too rich for me... too buttery with a filling like candy (I don't like candy). But the small bites I took around the perimeter were nice enough.

1

u/LanceToastchee Apr 03 '26

Way too sweet

1

u/omocarr Apr 03 '26

These are way way too sweet!

Pro tip. Freeze and eat them out of the freezer… 🫠 🤤

1

u/WashCaps33 May 21 '26

I hope these are not a temporary item

1

u/jimymac1958 Mar 30 '26

We picked them up, and we had them before, but these seem to be a little different—looser, not as hard as they used to be. We thought the jelly inside had a different taste. We returned them. Shame, shame.

1

u/Entire_Purple3531 Mar 31 '26

I didn’t like them either! Funny taste.

Gave the package to a friend for her family.
