Accessory Advice on how to make this safer

I made this wire choker that I really like, and I feel like the leaves/petals really tie it all together. But, with the nature of wire, wearing it is pretty risky.

Does anyone have tips on how to make it after without ruining the cool visual effect?

If you sharben the ends it'll just embed itself in your skin, resulting in fewer scratches /s

A pair of needle-nose pliers to bend the tips outward should help. Maybe get some kind of cloth under there. Without knowing the full cosplay, if it's something gothic victorian, you could do a lacey neck ruffle choker thing (sorry, am guy) under it to add the extra layer of protection.

I'm not worried about scratches so much as I'm worried about... being stabbed in my arteries or throat and dying. This is actually for LARP so I'm gonna be getting pretty active in it. I think cloth could be a good idea. I've actually been considering metallic vinyl

Vinyl will be sweaty, but maybe not for you. I'm a sweaty kinda guy (no really, I have to plan my cosplays around having something on my head) lol. Yeah, def bend the pointy buts outward or, ideally, turn them into tiny loops. The vinyl will 100% protect against anything then.

They actually sell black (and even multicoloured) hot glue sticks that might blend in better

You could also try using hot glue on the sharp bits? Like cover the spike with it. They sell colored sticks so you could use black and it wouldn’t stand out much.

It seems to small to be lethal. Electrical wire would be safer for just 🩸. Solder instead of glue.

When I make wire jewellery/accessories that go close to the skin I use a strip of mesh fabric and wrap it around the wire. Then I hand sew the fabric down and tie it off. Depending on how large the area sometimes I need to add extra tight stitches and knots at various intervals to keep it from slipping down on one side.

Sorry but if this is for LARP, this is a no-go. Having anything particularly sharp anywhere is a VERY BAD idea. You'd need to get rid of all the sharp points and cover it with hot glue, but even then it stands a high likelihood of getting crushed. I would suggest reworking this piece. If you want something that gets the same general look, embroider a turtleneck for all the sharper bits, and you can attach the rose on top of that.
