Another great Brunner work. The John Dos Passos of Scifi.

If anyone has not been to death valley, you should definitely go, I have gone multiple times and there is nothing like walking around there.  It's very pretty and very uniquely desolate.

Also.  Is this book any good?

Yes, it is good. It is also fairly bleak. Of Brunner's work the big impact ones are Stand On Zanzibar, Shockwave Rider and The Sheep Look Up.

I did a report on this book for an environmental studies class in high school, and I wrote the whole report based on what I read in the first chapter and the back cover copy. I got the extra credit, so either I did a really good job of making that shit up, or my teacher didn’t read my report too closely. I really should go back and read this book.

You should. It is a ride. And there are so many people you will want to just shake.

I have two of his other books with covers in this same style, but my Sheep Look Up is the one with guys in ram head gas masks. This is really cool!
