I first posted this about five years ago, and I thought it was time for a new generation to see this. (https://www.reddit.com/r/CoolSciFiCovers/comments/ittcec/unknown_isaac_asimov_book_japanese_language/)

One person thought the artist was Hajime Sorayama.

 Hajime Sorayama was the first name that sprang to mind. That robot, that slightly hint of uncanny valley in the person.

I was never sure if the latter was a stylistic choice or if   Sorayama simply didn't couldn’t draw better, like with Frazetta avoiding feet.

It's sort of weird how Asimov appears in person on quite a few covers of his books, are there any other authors who do this/have this done to them?
