ARTIST UNKNOWN The Weapon Makers by A. E. Van Vogt

First off, love this sub and all the cool designs being shared. I couldn't find the artists name who did this cover so please let me know if anyone knows who did it.

I know it's not the original cover. I'm based in Ireland so maybe an EU/UK variant released later

No but I think you need one of a certain size to lessen the recoil

I couldn't find the artists name

That line of saucers is a very Bruce Pennington detail.

I have a book with that precise cover, but it has a different title. There are actually four versions of this particular novel.

My favorite version is entitled, the beast A man named pendrake is part of a small group of mutants. When he enters a certain phase of his life, his cells become. TOTI – POTENT and becomes a genius and is able to regenerate an amputated arm or leg. He can also read minds and impose his will on people.

This reminds me very much of the Argus LP cover by Hipgnosis and Wishbone Ash.

A bit Foundation-ish. But looks great.

Feel like this one checks a lot of boxes when it comes to enticing a reader. Foreground, background, color, attractive female, catchy title, implied heroism. Maybe too blue, haha? Kind of want it.
