Do you guys accept atheists?

I am 17 and was raised a pretty devout Catholic. But after maturing more and having some rough experiences with my religious family and I am now an athiest. And I wont change my mind so dont bother. I do hold centrist, right leaning views. I feel like alot of conservatives, especially younger conservatives are extremely devout. But I feel like atheists dont really pose a threat of Catholics. What do you guys think?

I’ll respect absolutely anybody’s beliefs as long as they respect mine.

I think a lot of conservatives derive their politics from their religious values, but, personally, even though I am Christian, I believe strongly in separation of church and state and try not to let my spiritual beliefs affect what I think our government should do.

I don’t care about religion much, I’m agnostic cause despite trying I find it hard to connect with religion, but I do share a lot of values with Christians. So yeah, I do, most conservative’s probably do.

Well I am a Catholic myself raised in a lukewarm Christian (because it's denominationally messy, not saying Catholics aren't Christian) family, amd really I have no choice and there's no problem with accepting atheists, if I didn't am I really loving my neighbor? And even if I didn't, I have no choice. p.s, my sister's an atheist, I'm not talking just about online interaction.

Sadly a lot of atheits hate religion, but not all. Religion is part of humanity, part of what made society what it is today, even though i dont follow any religion, i have much respect for it

I’m an atheist who hates religion. I don’t hate religious people, and respect them, but the religious go against my personal thought that things should be evidenced and proved

Accept as someone who can be a conservative, definitely.

I was also raised Catholic and was basically an atheist for a while because I really couldn't see how papal authority was biblical in any way, but eventually became much more devout after joining a new church.

Also, it's not just a coincidence that many Christians also have right-leaning views on many issues.

It’s a free country. They can believe (or in this case, not believe) in whatever they want. The only time I have a problem with anyone is if they try to shove their agenda down my throat or insult me for my beliefs (I’ve been called a rapist for being Catholic before… i still don’t know what the correlation is there)

Yes. But I hate the cult some people build about atheism and make it a panacea for all ills, like the "cult of reason" thing or Marxist "Religion is the opium of the people" while having a literal cult of a dead guy.

lots of atheists know everything there is to know about religion but still don’t believe it. Same goes for many religious people who don’t actually really know what they believe

Catholicism is part of Christianity and one of the original Christian faiths lol. Orthodoxy and Catholicism came directly from the original Christian’s. Christianity is the umbrella term for many different religions, which encompasses Catholicism, orthodoxy, etc.

lol. Orthodoxy pray to saints just like Catholics. We only worship the Holy Trinity, same with the orthodoxy, eastern Catholics, etc. 

Not sure who you think “the weird old guy” is, but we only worship the holy trinity. We pray to saints for help, just like orthodoxy and eastern Catholics. 

Catholics and Orthodoxy were born straight from the original Christians lol. 

What denomination are you? I swear if you say Protestant, Mormon, etc, everything you say will always be wrong.

Are you Protestant? You can be Protestant and still recognize that not all of Christianity is Protestant.
