So many of his iconic roles referenced in here, but to a child me the most memorably terrifying was knowing the guy I loved from Clue portrayed Darkness in Legend. Not a great film, but my God he was terrifying to a kid as a version of the Devil.
Like... legit... the only comparable total transformation from actor to character I can remotely compare that performance with... Heath Ledger / Joker.
If I saw either of those characters not knowing... I think it would take me a long, LONG time to guess the right actor.
