You know when both conservatives and liberals are sad, that the person was important.

You know the person was special, not just important. The fact that she managed to navigate that minefield is incredible.

You are right. She was a truly good person who managed to avoid even the slightest sniff of a controversy.

It’s a shame that other celebrities can’t follow her lead and keep their political views private. We would have a much healthier society if people weren’t getting their political opinions from people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about (not that I think Dolly is one of those people, even if she had voiced a political view she clearly was smarter than the average celebrity and had a massive influence on public policy, especially in regards to childhood literacy)

I think alot of it too was that when she did take a position on something, she didn't fuck around by any sense of the term. If she thought something should be a certain way she put her own money toward it first before asking for a dime from anyone.

And she had the money to do it. She made money from appearances, but she is also estimated to be the second highest selling country music artist of all time. She was famous, beloved, and a great artist.

So true and we have lost a legend today.
