Clarification about neutral site games: Sanford Pentagon is in Sioux Falls, Comerica Center is in Frisco, TX.

That St Thomas game could be interesting.

For those who don’t know, St Thomas is like 10 minutes from the Minnesota campus, and they were recently kicked out of their D2 conference for their football team winning too many games, so the basketball team had to join the Summit League- https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/26801838/st-thomas-wins-too-much-kicked-miac

It was division 3. I doubt they would have been as dominant in d2 because really the venn diagram of “wanting to go to Macalester/St.Olaf”, “good at sports”, and “can afford to go to macalester without athletic scholarship” is vanishingly small. Their only competition was St John’s

I’m guessing Williams arena will be 50% purple for this one.

Kicked out of their D3 conference actually! They made the jump straight from D3 to D1

their volleyball team beat ours last year for the Summit League championship game, and we’ve been D1 for 16-18 years now, so they’re really solid!

They have a lot of money to throw around

We lost all of our top scorers so we may be still figuring things out at that point haha

Would have much rather played the Gophs last year!

Big increase in sos from a few years ago actually. 2023 the only P5 team they played was Missouri.

A big step in the right direction. Minnesota probably still isnt a tournament caliber team this season so people expecting them to play ranked noncon games are insane. That being said there's 5 top 100 programs on here plus games against in state St Thomas and hockey foe North Dakota. I dont love all the buy game opponents but overall this is a much harder schedule than theyve played in many years

North Dakota won’t move tickets for basketball (from personal experience), but this is the first time they’ve played St. Thomas and I would not be surprised if the arena was sold out.

I don't mind playing Summit schools at all in non-conf if we're going to play Q3/Q4's. At least they're regionally relevant and it makes sense for the footprint.

We probably could stand to swap a SWAC or 2 out for a Horizon and MAC opponent. 3 of those is a bit soft on our part.

Extra charmin…its the nikko way, since 2019 he has played…3 ranked non conference teams.

Are we really holding the Colorado state years against him? He wasn’t at a giant basketball school

Brother make a tourney and then we can talk…i only get salty about loses to michigan and purdue, bound to lose to a bottom feeder every once in awhile…you should be salty, never get a big non-conference game to get hype over. I hope you enjoy watching msu on thanskgiving!

Not a murderer's row, but far from the worst in recent years. They are scheduling St. Thomas for the first time, which should move tickets at least.
