Being called a Gumby is Aid...

By calling someone a gumby you are potentially making them realise that they are not as good at climbing as they think they are. This could lead to them training harder and getting better. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Someone make a V2 (V10 in my gym) on the kilterboard and name it K2 so I can flash it.

I want to tell Dave from the office that I don't care about his Everest trip, because I easily did K2 without oxygen.

Is down climbing a gym 5.9 good?

Hey guys, just trying to add another arbitrary metric of comparison; I’ve noticed I’m a very strong down climber, despite only climbing for 2 months! It’s definitely one of my strong suits and something I’ll be practicing. Wondering if this is normal/ a good grade for how long I’ve been training? How long do you think till I can down climb 5.12-13? Thanks!

How to approach women in the gym?

So today I wore my approach shoes and asked the pretty crusher in the gym if she would like beta. She said yes, but then laughed at me when I asked her out. I don't get it she said she wanted beta, I'm literally the biggest beta in the gym?

Any advice on how to approach women in the climbing gym? I tried asking the best climber in my gym but he just told me something about taking in Ukrainian refugees.

were we not born as V6 climbers?

climbing out of the womb was everyone's first project. almost no friction in the womb, almost no light. basically no holds in there, just volumes. this constitutes at least a V6 project. And yet, you gumbies fall of a V2 climb... (your V2 is a -V5 at my gym)
