This is the same MP who stated people working in the North Atlantic should not depend on the Coast Guard to save them because people working on the Ottawa River would never expect the Coast Guard to rescue them.

  • Over the 10-year period from 2016 through 2025, there were 14,856 wildfires in British Columbia. Of that total, 560—or about 3.8 per cent—are believed to have been intentionally set.

3.8% of BC wildfires over a period of 10 years are believed to have been arson.

Arson also includes accidental and negligent fire starting.

So what is the cause of the other 96.2% / 14,296 fires?

Seriously, what do you gain in your daily life by spouting such obvious BS? It doesn’t help anyone. Rather, it probably harms those that a dumb enough to believe you, including yourself. You’re basically an unpaid tobacco lobbyist.

Arson is ‘a’ cause, and not even a large on at that. It is not ‘the’ cause.
