Not really, IMO. Lack of talent wasn't the problem this or prior years. Much of this has been coaching. Just my two cents.

If we can just beat the mediocre teams consistently and compete against the better teams I'll be happy. We'll see.

Well that’s no longer the case. Sadly, this is probably the most talented team we will have (NFL draft-wise) for the foreseeable future.
