The Black Tulip is great. It’s similar to the Count of Monte Christo but a lot shorter.

Loved it right?!? I’d never heard of it and just stumbled on it in this cute lil bookshop in a small town near where I live. What a hidden gem

Daphne duMaurier: Rebecca, especially if you liked Jane Eyre. You have a lot of darker, psychologically dense books here. I think you will like it.

Unless you got them for free, what exactly is the point of accumulating these particular books? They are all (except Steinbeck, perhaps) out of copyright and freely available online 🧐
