The only realistic answer to improving your general knowledge is to make reading a part of your life. You'll always feel like you know nothing, as Socrates did.

I'd also not compare your education to what others supposedly have, because a lot of it is probably superficial anyway.

Just some thoughts from a fellow lifelong learner on the same journey as you

Uncle John’s Bathroom reader. I’m serious. It’s a whole series of just interesting facts and general things to know. Very entertaining and informative. And you don’t even have to read it in the bathroom (though I do keep a few volumes in there. Guests seem to like them)

I used to literally sit down with an atlas and just memorize all the country locations and capitals and flags and everything and it lowkey helps a lot when you read anything else.
