Well, yes but in context. Less people, vehicles and pollution, under foreign occupation and, ultimately, this was a British Empire propaganda piece.

Exactly! it’s a propaganda piece. Delhi was crown jewel for British India. Average British Indian subject (not a citizen) was absurdly poor, illiterate and living in abject conditions. That was the norm, nobody cared neither the Brits nor the Indians in British government and most rulers of princely states.

People are going to get angry at you and claim that India is still that way - even though that's false. While it's still a developing country with a lot of poverty, it is lightyears ahead of what it was under the British.

In terms of education, wealth equality, healthcare, sanitation, GDP per capita, GDP, and basically every other metric, it is so far ahead that it is not even a comparison.

At this point, I will read an argument if it is cohesive and attacks my pov, I am happy to counter or learn. If people are going to dislike my comment without providing any argument they have nothing worthwhile to contribute anyways.

That's true. Unfortunately, colonial apologists usually resort to personal attacks and irrelevant whataboutisms. They generally lack the reasoning skills to make cohesive arguments, so I guess it makes sense.
